I know this is off topic but I wanted to share with my friends here that I received my acceptance letter from the grad school I was hoping to get into. I have waited a year since my graduation last spring to hear something. They only class up every other year and it is a rather competitive program.

Going back to school is how my mid life crisis manifested. I am really jazzed about this. I will be seeking a masters in Social Work.

I need to start weaning myself from Lit now. LOL

(And, btw, you *don't* have to wean yourself from Lit to get through grad school. Trust me on this--I didn't find the place 'til I was already *in* grad school. )

Thanks for the encouragement RisiaSkye and Shadowsdream. I am mondo excited.

I have several friends who have completed the program and they say it is killer but I don't have the burden of an eight-to- five job that they have. I work at home.
This will help I am sure.

Congratulations! I wouldn't worry about weaning yourself from Lit. I suspect you will find this place is more of a help than a hindrance.

As Risia said, don't bother trying to wearn yourself. I, too, found Lit in the middle of my grad school program. The stress relief was great, and i even used a debate from the GB in one of my papers and WH was wonderful enough to edit my thesis project.

You'll do wonderfully, but Good Luck because it can never hurt.

I have to take a diversity class and the final group project is intergrating into a culture you are not familiar with. My friend used us a lab rats and expolred homosexuality. I could play "undercover". The big problem would be finding 6 nilla's brave enought to take the dive. LOL

What an assumption...I may be in a class full of closet lifestylers.
