My dear PoeTesse, my dear friend, happiest of birthdays. Hope it's a beautiful day and year for you.

A poem for you.

In the Seven Woods
WB Yeats

I HAVE heard the pigeons of the Seven Woods
Make their faint thunder, and the garden bees
Hum in the lime-tree flowers; and put away
The unavailing outcries and the old bitterness
That empty the heart. I have forgot awhile
Tara uprooted, and new commonness
Upon the throne and crying about the streets
And hanging its paper flowers from post to post,
Because it is alone of all things happy.
I am contented, for I know that Quiet
Wanders laughing and eating her wild heart
Among pigeons and bees, while that Great Archer,
Who but awaits His hour to shoot, still hangs
A cloudy quiver over Pairc-na-lee.

And of course, some cake!

Why so many birthdays? Gosh.
Okay, here I go again.
Happy Birthday poet #73! :D

Happiest of days to you, Sassy girl.
Many more, many more, happy days to ya. ;)

Have a happy day
the number of which
must be guarded
as a State Secret.

Y'know, if you can't be a Scorpio, then Sagittarius comes close. When I was researching the zodiac for my poems, I discovered that we have a 13th sign, that of the healer, in the solar zodiac. Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer, is actually the 12th sign of this division with Aquarius ending the year.

Just interesting facts about a galactic gravitational influence that many folks don't know about. :)

So, does that make you an Ophiuchian? I couldn't say.

Happy Day!

It's mathematics, of course.

Happy birthday, Tess! I raise a 0.5 L of Labatt's to you.

Tz's mathematics may explain it too, but I offer the idea that Scorpios and Sagittarians are known to be rather poetic souls, so that may explain their relative predominance in here.

Lovely Tesse, may your year contain luck and blessings.

Well it's a little early, but I suppose I could put that Baileys into my coffee and then it still counts as breakfast, right?

A toast to being proud of your birthday. Never miss an opportunity to demand presents.
