Richard Milhous Nixon, born on this day, 100 years ago.

He was elected to the Presidency in 1968 and became another in a long line of Republican Presidents who were "not really a conservative."

Nixon won the 1972 election by a margin of 503 electoral votes, only to resign in 1972 to avoid impeachment. He lived another 20 years, but never really got his game back.
