I bet with as steady a hand you use with your canes/paddles/other implements, you'd do fine. And besides... I'll show you what they used.... but only if you promise to not stop loving cakes like this. It's known as fondant. If you've ever seen the show "Ace of Cakes" on Food Network they use it all the time.

It's a pretty neat little thing, and can add a lot of dimension and beauty to a cake.
