I voted that "no" I don't have him on ignore, but don't let that be confused with the fact that I also don't read anything he posts.
I just don't do the ignore function, cause I find it too tempting to read something.
It's easier for me just not to read posts I don't wanna read.

I put him on ignore yesterday, but just to de-clutter the thread list. I figured since I never read the threads he starts anyway, I figured i could get to the posts I might actually want to read quicker if I didn't have to scroll through half a million threads with titles like "Cunt Cunty Cunt Cunt". I mean, I'm bi, but I only want to see so many cunts at one time, and Hans just soesn't have any of those cunts.

I don't see your point. How is McCarthy's destruction of many innocent lives and careers equal to Cheyenne's and others right to ignore something they don't want to read? If Hanns can say he's going to "mack someone's tit's off", can't the rest of us announce that we are ignoring it?

First of all, Chey's not organizing a group to do anything but answer a poll.
Secondly, it seems that Hanns is trying to organize a group to stifle women, yet you don't count that as making a mockery of free speech?

I think Hanns has had plenty of opportunity to exercise free speech, and as a result was judged a deranged, pathetic and boring asshole by most of the board. So we exercise our right of Free Listening. Don't worry, Lance, he can still shock and upset the newbies. He'll be like a stain on the wall that was painted over. It might bleed through a bit, but you just ignore it.
It'll be fun! Every once in a while some newbie will say, "Who is this Hanns weirdo?" And we can all laugh good naturedly and say, "Oh, Hanns? Is he still around? Everyone here has him on Ignore." And then they can put him on Ignore, and be part of the club, too. It will be a warm moment, kind of like a Lit initiation.

i have no one on ignore. if you dont want to read someones post, dont open the thread. i have read Hanns since he arrived on the scene. i see him as focused, intelligent and at times cruel. above all he is entertaining, i find him no more offensive than a few others on the board.
