Hamburger helper

I try to avoid carbs and fat. Well, except maybe for french-fries...

Hint: Non-sodium (potassium) salt is available. I don't need it. My blood pressure is naturally low. I eat salty stuff to keep my BP at a nominal level, around 105/65.

But papas fritas?? I julienne a big red or gold potato or three, nuke the chips in a microwave for a couple minutes to soften them, then sauté them in a minimum of light (maybe flavored) oil in a non-stick pan. Those are about the healthiest carb-calories possible.

Helper. Hmmm. Dunno if I've ever defiled the holy temple of my body with the stuff. Is it better than welfare commodity mac-n-cheese?

Christ in a bucket....how is that shit even considered food?

I've made a homemade version with ground beef in baked macaroni and cheese, but I haven't had the boxed stuff since I was a kid.

I prefer the Kraft Velveeta version. Yeah, I know it isn't real food. But it's yummy!

And I look at healthy eating this way: what's the most indestructible species on the planet? That's right, the cockroach. And they eat CRAP. It's what's for dinner!
