Expectation subversion. Defiling dinner is a tradition I have not experienced, so I will leave it to experts like yourself. Meanwhile I’m planning a rib roast and may try popovers this year. That’s as subversive as I get.

Second the ham. If I was in charge of this mans army, I’d pardon all turkey’s and only eat Piggy’s on the holidays. Think pig with an apple in its mouth from days of yore.

Oh, and lets bring back some goose also.

When given the chance, I defile seafood preferably lobster on Dec 25th.
I digress, given the option of turkey or ham. Ham almost always win out. But, had smoked turkey this year which definitely improved turkey's ranking but hasn't overcome ham, YET.

Had spiral ham this week, it lasts almost as long as turkey. It’s very ordinary and not worthy of a special occasion. Christmas is definitely prime rib or maybe we will try a wagyu steak. Costco has one steak for $100, might be worth trying.
