Does anyone know how the judging is done on the contests, e.g. Halloween contest. Once a story is approved and entered in the contest, do all the stories appear somewhere together or do readers have to search them out in their normal locations on Literotica? And then, how do readers nominate stories? And vote for them?

I apologize if this is not the right forum for these questions, but i know some writers here have successfully entered contests in the past.

While I am at it. Does anyone know how a writer can recall (copy) one of his /her stories from Literotica? My computer crashed and i was able to salvage all but one story. The only place it exists now is on Literotica. Help.

They all appear together there. Contest stories also typically appear at the top of the New Stories list on the day they post, which ups the exposure level. The current or most recent contest pages are linked from the main page of Lit.

Otherwise, readers find them by the normal means, and many have no idea the story is part of the contest unless the author mentions it. Readers vote on the stories the same way they vote on any other story.

The winners are determined by which story has the highest score and at least the minimum of 25 votes. Only score matters unless there is a tie, in which case the number of votes is the tie-breaker.

Don't look at your score during the contest and expect it to even remotely resemble the final score you'll have. Lit sweeps votes it considers illegitimate, and in the case of contests, the average score of contest entries by the end will typically increase by .25 to .30 There are a lot of low-voting shenanigans in the contests.

As to how to save a story from Lit, I'm afraid the only means available is to copy the text and paste it into a document. No download options are available.
