i did ok. hell i dont even know my score and honestly it dont mean diddly. it just felt good to put something out there for the first time in a year that wasnt a poem.

Lost 6 votes while I was out with Wallace and Grommit but the score leapt, final competition score 31 votes 2,557 hits 4.87, not at all shabby for non-erotic. Vella you are a love, sorry you didn't quite make the bath - short and sweet that's my motto.

Sheep dip. Not a very pleasant operation. I've got a hunch "I'll be dipped" or "I'll be sheep dipped" began as a "nice" way of saying, "I'll be damned."

Cattle and sheep were routinely "baptized" (that's right, total emersion-head and all) in a long vat filled with chemicals designed to kill all the parasites on them. Here's a not too good photo of a typical operation.

I would, but I'm not anywhere near the middle. I finished at 4.34, closer to the rear end than the head. At least I had some complimentary feedback and PC from some of the authors that I most respect on Lit.

Thought Dr. M. would win with his vampire story, but that dropped in the ratings last minute as Rumple's was coming up. Very cool, as Dr. M. has won past contests whereas Rumple has not. My stories did OK. Halloween Revisited 4.71, 36 votes, 8, 798 views, The Worm 4.61, 33 votes, 8,862 views. I'm surprised that a gay male story did that well in a contest...I don't have the following of Carson Shepherd, for example. Along with the winners, I also liked the stories by Colly, Honey, Vella, The Earl, Ogg, and English Lady, to name but a few. On to the Holiday Contest.....

Sack, Sack, Sack. How COULD you ever forget the second place finish of Outdoor Angie in the Earth Day contest?

I'm sure your Worm story gave lots of folks some creepy moments; especially if they're into cane pole fishing using worms for bait.

In addition to the writers on your list, here are some of the others who had stories I really enjoyed: Shang, DanielKitten, Ent, and Elizabetht (even though I'm still not sure how to pronounce "Sidhe). There are others, but what passes for my brain is fogged in tonight.

it used to really bother me that two of my stories don't carry the covetted H...now, i just write what appeals to me and if it gets accolaids, then thats cool but its more of an outlet than anything.
