I've got three stories in the works, I'll probably submitt zero.

"zero" had better be the title of one of the stories or the ghosts and ghoulies will be after you...

I'm in a little bit of a quandry...

I have two stories. One is written (almost), one is partly done...

The problem is... I'm having a difficult time giving up the points for the Survivor contest to submit something as Crim, lol.

One story will end up being pretty long if I left it as one story... or I could split it into three chapters (would work okay either way)... sheesh, life shouldn't be so complicated, LOL.

Maybe I'll just submit them under my alt. Might be easiest solution, lol.

I understand a story entered in a special contest, such as Halloween, can also be counted as an entry in the Survivors' Contest.

You know, you don't have to write horror at all. You can write about a person going to a halloween party and meeting the man or woman of his or her dreans, and sneaking away to the upstairs bedroom for sex. Make it Lesbian, E/C, Interracial, Loving Wives, Gay Male, or whatever. EH is sort of expected but it is not necessary.

No, it doesn't have to be erotic horror, but please, spare us the generic "...and by the way, it was Halloween..." story, that could just as easily be a Christmas or Nude Day, or Earth Day or Arbor Day story with the change of a few details.

This is a holiday contest, and the story should be drenched in the feelings of the holiday, whatever you think they may be. I mean, let's use our imaginations here. As a holiday, Halloween's probably sexier than even Valentine's day, and if you can't come up with something better than two people fucking at an apple-bobbing contest, then you probably shouldn't even enter.

Humph.

I know, but I'm not in the surivor contest as Crim and I would like to have an entry as me instead of my alt, lol.

Of course halloween isn't the same everywhere...

I might get bit in the ass for what I'm doing, but at least I can hope for something sexy to be doing the biting.

Looking forward to see everyone's differant takes.

Dr M -I love the way you hump....I mean humph ;)

I've got two brewing, one a continuation of my pigtails theme, and the other, well it'll be anti-halloween, christian story. Both are still in the thinking phase and nowhere near the writing phase.

I'll get there though, I'm always a slow starter, but once I get going, there's no stopping me ;)

How can somebody comment on a contest entry unless that person has read it. The entries will be posted no earlier than Oct. 1. After that, the Elf and others can comment on them.

Obviously they can't.. UNLESS the writers in question have a mutual editing agreement....

Further comment is withheld.

Just a thought - it was the early church that created halloween by consciously demonizing and ridiculing heathen/pagan festivals. All Hallows Eve was originally in March until the Christian Church launched a bit of an ad campaign. Also, trick and treating is a very old Christian custom involving trading prayers for cakes.

Jack o'Lantern is there because he fell between Heaven and Hell.

And Og, knower of all things and scribbler extraordinaire, can you help to persuade L&M to launch a contest for Walpurgis Night - the night the witches really do fly their broomsticks.

I's doing it now, Master. *Boo Hoo* It's just that sometimes a girl's got to go out on the streets to beg for scraps to keep the hulk and thirty seven children from starvin'.

Look kindly on a poor girl, Sir. :rose:

damn.. next yer gonna tell me ya live in a shoe (low rent). Wait!!!!! that isn't part of All Hallows eve!!!!

Well, harumph! And harumph again. Does that make you feel better, Horsie?

I was under the inpression that All Hallows Day is November 1, and All Hallows Evening ia the night before.

I have just posted a story about the ghost of Elvis Presley but it is not very scary and is not intended for Halloween.

Oh, no, kind Sir. We couldn't hope to aspire to a shoe. We make do with a cardboard box in a septic tank. Saves on fuel bills.

I would - except that I am rather busy on Walpurgis Night. It is my birthday. I was born after dark (of course) in a place very significant for Druids. I was covered with more hair than I have now and in a caul. Therefore I can't drown and I am very popular with witches.

Watch out for flying Ogs on 30th April.

Og

PS: My youngest daughter was born on Halloween. It's no surprise that we have a lot in common.

In that case... yer forgiven for your tardy response.... do stay warm in your box.... and may you always earn the bread for yer 37 children.
