My story got a troll sweep.

Only lost two votes, but it did wonders for the score.

The traffic on it has fallen off today. Shrugs. I'm happy with it. The feedback has been great. Some of it from people whose opinions really mean a lot to me.

So yay!

And to everyone else. Haven't read a bad one yet. I wish I was like the Dodo, "Everyone has won and all must have prizes!"

Traffics fallen on mine as well. Some of it may be that it is Monday. The weekend gives everyone much more computer time. Plus the intial blitz of stories has been worked through by the more avid readers.

Mind you I'm just hypothosising out my ass, since I've never been in a competition on Lit before.

more specifically, "Die Faggot" written out 100 times in an anonymous feedback form. Very creepy, and as my story is rather sad and innocent, I can't understand why it would provoke such strong emotions. Have been one-bombed obviously, as the comments are uniformly good, but the score is not the equal to the comments!

I've never had anybody call me a faggot and tell me to die, even though I have written quite a few gay male stories. That's not a complaint, just an observation.

On my Halloween story, I have gotten some very negative comments, which I am actually proud of since it means the story did what it was meant to do. Such comments are always anon, of course. I have also gotten some laudatory comments from some members of AH that I respect very highly and I feel good about them also.

Rob, dunno where my opinion rates on that scale, but I was really impressed with The Abyss. Just got around to reading it today (6 Lit pages!?!?) and couldn't put it down, er... close the screen... very well done, kudos!

THere are weirdos everywhere, and this contest seems to be a magnet for them. I haven't gotten any death threats yet but I've attracted a fair share of trolls. At 6500 words, maybe mine is too long for them to realize it's lesbian. THey loose interest before they can become outraged.
