I decorated the shop where I work for Halloween, (imagine that) and I want some music!
I have several of the creepy noise CDs, and even a couple that have the theme songs to scary movies.

My question is this: can anyone think of any 'normal' music that could be considered Halloweenie?
For example: 'Abracadabra' ~ Steve Miller
See what I mean? :)

(I do want stuff that's family friendly, since I'll be playing it at my station at work, lol.)

My ex was Industrial, and had burnt me a CD of some stuff that qualifies. (Look for something by Coil if you're into that kinda thing. ;))
But I guess I'm looking for some more typical type songs.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance! :D

One song you gotta have! "Monster Mash" by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett [A 1962 #1 song]

But of course! :)

I now have 'I Put A Spell On You' and 'Black Magic Woman'. :)

I'm getting creative, lol. :p
I've been googling, but it's not bring up exactly what I want. :p

Just about anything by Rob Zombie would work for me . . . might be a little too harsh for a work environment, though.

When you say Halloween music I think of this.

Or this.

Or this.

Witchy Woman--The Eagles

I Put A Spell On You--Screamin' Jay Hawkins (also by the Animals)

Flyin' Purple People Eater--Sheb Wooley

Those might work. :D

Thriller, of course. Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. Hells Bells by AC/DC, Welcome to my Nightmare by Alice Cooper, Rapture by Blondie, Beetlejuice by Danny Elfman, People are Strange by the Doors.

I've got more...

Hotel California - Eagles
I'm Your Boogie Man - KC & the Sunshine Band
Beautiful People - Marilyn Manson (might not be appropriate)
Crazy Train - Ozzy
Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.
The Time Warp from Rocky Horror Picture Show
Paint it Black - Rolling Stones
Exorcist Theme - Tubular Bells
Runnin' With the Devil - Van Halen

Dark Lady - Cher

Judy in Disguise - John Fred and his Playboy Band
Bad Moon Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Moon dance - Van Morrison
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
Spooky - The Classics VI

Witchy Mix

Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you - lyrics..I can't remember the title, but it's a cool one.

You might could google some of the themes from Alfred Hitchcock movies as well. Some of those were just eerie.

Ghostriders in the Sky -- Johnny Cash.

Tubular Bells -- Mike Oldfield (the theme from The Exorsist to most people.)

I don't recall the name or artist, but the title theme for The Omen -- and probably several others from tha sountrack, but the title theme is both eerie and memorable.

:D :D I now need to make a cd myself, though monster mash and witchy woman are two of my favorites anyway. I think I feel the need to dance a bit freaky to some tunes! We did a 'thriller' musical dance thing in choir for a production and I think it would be hysterical to teach the kid the moves. :D

wooly bully
wild thing
blood of me
secret agent man
wicked game
erotic nightmares
star trekkin
wild thing~ muppets version
brain eaters
goolie garden
someone walked over my grave
the rockin ghost
rockin a zombie
vampira
graveyard rock

Some of the songs are off of the Ghouls with Attitude cd's which they have a download for.

rengade, Cradle of Filth is kinda scary... 'Dinner At Deviant's Palace' is creepy. (It's the Lord's Prayer backwards. *shudders*)
