Halloween costumes

Do any of you go to vanilla halloween partys dressed in less than explicit BDSM play garb?

We are this year and Im wondering just how far to accessorize without freaking people out.

Anyone have any good or horror stories to tell? Has anyone approached you and made a comment, good or bad?

Or is the assumption that since its halloween, you are not the person you portray? Little do they know, hehe.

I wear my collar every where, except work. Every now and then I get some one that knows me from work ask me "what's with the collar?", but for the most part people pass it off as a fashion statement. Somethimes I wear my leather cuffs out, but not as often as I used to. That usually get's some looks but not many.

Last halloween was my first with exposure to bdsm. The shop I sell my costumes at, and well the whole mall, was dressing up. So another girl I knew from the shop and I decided to dress as the shops chearleaders. Well since they shop is filled with doms and "mideval marital aids" we thru a goth/sub twist to it. The out fit was black and silver crused stretch velvet, and the panties had a big lace cut out target on the ass. Our pompoms were suade cloth floggers. Then we had cat collers for bracelets to mimic cuffs and each wore our own collar. It was a lot of fun, and the shop owner toured me around the mall to show me off. For a few people he would tell me "show them where x marks the spot" and I promptly turned around, bent over and pulled my skirt way up. And for the most part people would just laugh.

This year, I've been invited to a halloween birthday party with a pirate theme. I'm trying to decide how much I can incorporate into this costume. I won't take off my collar for the evening, so they will just have to deal with that if it doesn't fit the pirate theme. But I'm thinking, my cat of nine tails might make a nice addition to my costume, since I don't have a sword or gun as a weapon. I think it'll fit in a bit better than another flogger. I've started wearing my cuffs around the house again, so I'm trying to think if they would fit, or if I could make them work, but I just don't think I could.

Pirate Theme?!?! YESSSSSS.... you get to be the captain's wench!

For the most part I don't dress up. Last year I went to a fetish themed club for halloween so I wore my collar, brought a leash, and put on leather clothes. This year I'm going to a concert, and I went the cheap lazy way and bought a used costume at one of the local thrift stores. I do have some spectacular shoes that don't match anything I own, though, that I will be wearing! You could probably classify them as kinky, but they'd blend in to the real world well enough... if anything actually went with "shiny black."

i have a vanilla friend who dressed up as a dominatrix last year (she actually asked me how to behave, which i found funny since i have never been on that side of the whip). this year im being a devil while a friend is being an angel. she gets a sword and i get a whip. even though it is for my costume, i know that whip will get some action long after halloween is over.

I went to one hallowen party as a 'bad fairy'

I wore fishnet tights, a tiny black dress that I tore in places, skyscraper red heels and a little pair of black sequinned wings to legitimize the outfit. I carried a black, leather covered paddle and had lots of fun with it.

My Dom is 23 years older than I am and I look younger than my actual age. So, to have some fun he is going to dress up as my old sugar Daddy and I am going to be his Gold Digger. Should be a riot we think.

Actually, the av is pretty close to what I will wear to work for Halloween this year (if I am back to work by then (should be, with doctors you never can tell...) ) . With the addition of a leather vest and possibly chaps. Toss in a bandana "do-rag", my motorcycle leather jacket with handcuffs hanging on the left epaulet, my boots, and the ensemble is complete.

Sir Face now that I have recovered from imagining Geoff Sir ...............

I am not nor have I ever been into dressing the BDSM scene style clothing. Fancy stockings , those little hook and eye ankle boots and Corsets being the exception and they are more in keeping for me to a slant on period costume dressing. The corsets are also not the authentic type that Etoille and CuteyMouse wear and often built into the dress. Its for the 'suggestion' I am not into the body morph thing.

I love dressing up however and in this day and age its often a case of more the ball gown type in formal situations for me. Have been known to have bare feet underneath at times if that helps any.....smiles.

You will have to take my word that the last real party I wore something quiet similar to my current AV . The modifications being the bodice was black velvet and straight lined across the bust ( omg great story goes with that if I can be induced too ) the skirt pale pink satin with a few layers of pale pink tulle then several layers of black tulle over that. A wide leather belt pulling the top and the skirt together. Hair style was similar ( not as high though ) but my own not a wig. Ohh and of course my painted beauty spot over my make up. Something about wearing a beauty spot that's a little magical for me. Sets a mental mood or something..........laughs.

I went to a Halloween party last year and there was a girl that just had a toolbelt on (over her clothes I mean) and she had a bunch of dildos and vibrators and lube and whips etc in it. Everyone liked her costume and everyone was trying everything out. I think it depends on the crowd at the party though. These were not stuffy people, everyone had a good sense of humor about it--well until 1 girl got a bit too drink and got a little wild with one on the whips on someone else's husband lol but it was a minor incident...have fun
