I'm getting my hair cut on Monday. Not counting a brief foray into the world of really short hair after my first kid, I've had the same hair style since I was a freshman in college.

Y'all have seen me, any ideas on what I could do that would be different, easy to work with, and not be real short? I've done the shaved head thing, and trust me... it wasn't flattering.

Is your hair completely straight, babe?

If so, I think a china-doll cut would look great on you and require very little work. Bangs, short bob (just above shoulders) in an a-line (shorter in the back, longer in the front).

What's the texture of your hair?

And how long is it, right now?

My hair is only straight when I spend about 45 minutes with the blow dryer and curling iron, making it that way. And as soon as I walk out the door into the lovely humidor that is missouri in the summer, it's curly and frizzy again.

It's about shoulder length when it curls up, and pretty thick/coarse.

This is how it looks when i get out of bed and run a brush through it.

Your hair is like mine, PCG. Make an appointment with the top stylist in your salon. Once you get a good cut, it can be maintained by one of the lower level people for the rest of the year. Get it layered, with the longest layers hitting your shoulders when wet.

Wash your hair at night. Towel dry it, and then apply a dab of FrizzEase and a spritz of Pumping Curls. When you wake up, the curls will be soft and frame your face nicely. Minimal effort, and it will keep your hair in a very healthy condition.

If you wash it during the day, then follow the same procedure, but dry it upside down with a diffuser attachment on your blowdryer, making sure you do not touch it while it's drying. The more you run your fingers through yoru hair, the frizzier it gets.

I agree with Mischka. I have been combing ( heh, pun there) over hairstyles online. Scary stuff! You need professional advice. A good stylist will take care of you. Now, I'm excited for you. I'll give you one piece of advice though. Don't fight your curl! :)

I'm sorry. ;)

Thanks for the advice. I've thought about goin in and just telling them to have their way with me, but I'm never brave enough to do it.
