hair cuts

why do stylists charge more to cut womens hair than mens. I dont mean style but just do a cut.

Stylists don't charge more to do women's hair. They charge more to cut anyone's hair. But they are also more capable of doing something with the hair. Barbers, well.. they aren't exactly the cream of the hair cutting crop. They know basic cuts. If you want layers, or perms, or colors, or anything more extensive then picking what razor guard to use, try going to a stylist.

BTW, I did it, jumped off the deep end. Got my nice straight long hair permed tonight. For free, too. At a stylist. I love having a stylist in the family.

Gilly Bean, who is almost certain that she should have remained straight... haired, that is.

they do it for the money.it gets cut all the same.
That's not quite true. Especially for women, the difference between an orinary haircutter and a hair stylist can be dramatic. I spent $65 (plus tip) on my last cut, and it was worth every cent. He spent an hour and a half on my head, measuring and remeasuring every lock. I now have a cut that I can wash before bed and wake up with a great style - never been able to do that before. And it's fun yet professional all at the same time. That's what a hair stylist will get you.

Perhaps it's because, in general, woman's hair is longer.

My hair is longer than my gf's. We get our hair cut at the same place. Hers is more.
