my initial reaction is the same... but looking more closely at the hands, some aren't straight-fingered but bent over (like a power salute), still others are open-fingered like waving 'hi'. i'd like to know the context of the picture because it's too easy to jump to conclusions; perhaps they were instructed to nazi-it and some did, willingly, others not prepared to do the full hate-speech symbol but maybe didn't want to get called out by their instructor. i don't know. there's more to this story and though it's probably correct that they're a bunch of scummy lowlifes being recruited for the job, one picture doesn't tell it all.

i see only one person whose skin is darker, but the two people on the ends of the front row: one has curled over knuckles, and the other, on the right of the photo as it faces us, actually has their hand palm-up as the thumb is clearly seen on the wrong side of the hand if it were palm-down.

i HATE anti-semitism and racism on a bone-deep level. i'm just not prepared to convict everyone in this image till we know more...if we ever do.

I lean towards the group of racist asshats theory myself but as was said, a single picture often does not tell the real story. Wasn't too long ago that kid with the native american dude got drug thru the mud over a single pic. People jump to conclusions.
