My wife and I took the time out to visit a state park in the Everglades today. The rangers there were more than happy to talk with us and even offered to acompany us on our canoe trip on their longest water trail. (We turned them down but I did feel sorry for them. The place was empty.)
The canoe trip was interesting and relaxing. (It was only about two miles though.)
Next week we are thinking o visiting another park further south and deeper in the 'Glades. This one has longer water trails.
Oh and on the way back we decided to check out a Tourist Trap on the side of the road. I was happily surprised to see they had a rather large selection of Mermaid sculptures. (Nice ones at that.) I'll have to go back there to pick up one or two of them.
