Had a big jump in followers after my last story.

From glancing at the tags, I assume it's a reconciliation story. You may be getting some traffic from that segment of the LW readership who are ranging farther afield due to authors choosing other categories for reconciliation/cuckold stories. You're also probably getting some of the scoring from there. If you have any snarky/nasty comments, that would be another indication that you're getting category crossover.

The LW readership is so large that even a fraction of them can result in big numbers.

I don't remember having a jump that big, but I have had some weird cycles where a certain story all of a sudden is what everyone is adding to their Favorites. My "Mom's After Party" was the most recent one. Which was out in September of 2021 but for like a month (Not to long ago.) it was getting two or three likes a day (or so it seemed to me) and I didn't have any clue why. I even poked around seeing if I got on some "Best of" list (Which would have surprised me!) but never found out why. Maybe there was some off site reason? Or just random fate I guess.

I think readers of your new story probably saw all your old ones and added you, so they can come back and or be alerted when something new came out.

This usually happens because your piece has shown up as a "Similar Stories" entry on a new tale.

Makes sense, a lot of authors, and readers, who want actual stories and not crap, have been branching out. Fetish is a good option for cuck material, the guys over there are actual men and can either handle things like that, or are mature enough to just move on and not trash a story because they don't like it.

My top-viewed story was put in Fetish rather than Erotic Couplings which I'd ticked. I think the 'interracial' tag brought a lot of viewers, though it was also in an April Fool contest.

Nice category, would post again...

After I published my latest, You've Lost That Loving Feeling, I jumped 60+ followers! I've never seen that big of a jump before. It's not even my highest-rated story! What's up with that, I wonder?
I haven't read that one, though I have read a few of your works, I will take some time to read it over this weekend :)

I just commented on followers vs. ratings in another thread, I also saw a significant jump in followers with my posting of "The Nuclear Family" (an LW story). When I compare the increase of followers vs comments and ratings, I think the story is connecting with the people reading it. If you see followers NOG then you're doing something right!

That's a nice jump. It's hard to know exactly what happened, but you struck a chord with your readers. It may not be just that story, either. You've been as prolific over the last two and a half years as I have over the last five and a half, and by keeping up the pace of posting you keep your name in circulation and over time pick up more followers.
