I browsed through the pages of the Rogue Isle Protector and let my eyes fall on the headlines of importance.
Police At Loss Over Lost Heroes And Villains
With three heroes missing, presumed abducted, from Paragon City over the last six months, and two of the semi-notable villains from the Rogue Isles likewise having disappeared, pressure is being mounted on the police of both areas to disover just what has happened. So far, police say they are working diligently but have no leads. It is suspected that if police do not resolve this matter shortly both Longbow and its associated heroes and Arachnos will be taking a personal hand in the investigation.
New Dancer At H&V's
H&V's Pleasuredome has expanded its cast of hero and villain themed erotic dancers recently. The club in Cap Au Diable was opened just three months ago and features exotic dancers dressed as the heroes of Paragon City and villains of the Rogue Isles. With the continued loosening of laws governing morality in the Rogue Isles, the word "dancer" is becoming less and less applicable. Shows now feature everything from striptease through sexual performances on stage to a chance for members of the audience to torture the celebrity hero or villain of the night. Although these dancers are obviously lookalikes - or more accurately dressalikes since they are often not even of the same race as their double, some of them are placed in sets where they can simulate superpowers as part of the act. So far, Mr. Raven the club owner, has not risked having his dancers model as the more famous heroes and villains such as Ghost Widow or Statesman, but it seems only a matter of time before public calls for such.
Atlas Park Bank Robbed - AGAIN!
The Atlas Park Bank has been robbed again, this time by someone dressed as the heroine Wren who went missing four weeks ago. It is suspected that this lookalike burglary has been inspired by the growing awareness of Mr. Raven's hero and villain themed Pleasuredome. If so, this signals a dangerous turn in the morality of Paragon City toward that of the Rogue Isles.
It truly was amazing how dense the newspaper reporters were. Glancing at the articles together told the whole story. Minor superhumans had been captured. My club put on shows in which my slaves demonstrated powers similar to those of slightly more famous capes. And now a "lookalike" of a missing heroine had robbed a bank. Could they be so dense as to fail to put two and two together. The heroes and villains could, I was sure. No doubt one or two of them would be investigating soon. That was good as I wanted some fresh meat. I only regretted that they had not bothered to report the name of the cape the new dancer mimicked since she was someone I'd been wanting to get my hands on for YEARS.
