gypsy camp

mysteria

i let out inward sigh of relief, moving so i could encase him again. feeling the tip slide in again, he was so young i thought. i let our joining erase all thoughts from our minds. wanting to remember this night in all it's glory even as i was already preparing myself to leave him behind. i purred his name against his shoulder as he leaned over me. his inexperience showing, yet somehow it was endearing to be his first.

Thomas:

Once again inside of Ria and having been given the top Thomas nearly balked, but for the drawing of her sweet, slick flesh along his shaft... His hips moved against her out of instinct as he pressed his mouth to her breast, the distant music and the carnality of the moment driving him on. There was magic in the music, there must have been, for it seemed to turn him into a rutting stag inside this willing doe.

i forget all else as he moves inside me like man possessed. I bite my lip as I almost cried out roberto, as he thrust inside somewhat forcefully but i forgave him as this was only his second time. my legs tightened around him as i came once again, my body nearly spent, it had been nearly a month and I simply wasn't used to such passion.

He was energetic and very willing, just when i thought i was going to get some sleep i'd feel his hardness against me and his shy hand and I'd move and comply needing to be wanted as much as he wanted to be inside me. the sun rose over our bodies and i wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"i should get back to camp, get some rest," my veil had been tossed aside in night and seeing his innocent young face his expression mix of thanks and torment as he realized he had been gone from his home all night.

Thomas:

Ria stood as Thomas continued to stare at her, laying, spent, on the soft earth. His chest rose and fell gently, as he drew soft breaths. He still felt her cool hand against his brow where she had wiped away his sweat. He wanted to stand, to hold her in his arms forever, but he knew that he had to leave, just as surely as she did. He couldn't bring himself to speak as she left but the words were there in his heart. "Stay, don't go." She left, he laid, half naked under the morning sun fighting a tear. Some time later he found himself walking back to his home... Back to his life... His sorrow was almost too painful.

OOC: Anyone care to play his father?! He's a stuborn man that believes people such as the gypsys to be pagan, and there for unredemable sinners... It would help me out greatly! :)

mysteria

I walked away wanting to look back but knowing I wouldn't be able to leave him if I did. I collected myself and hand ran over my abdomen, wondering if his seed had taken hold. I went to my wagon and reminded myself to have terra tell me if I was with child later today. I fell to bed spent falling asleep almost as soon as i closed eyes. I hadn't slept so peacefully in months. i rolled over expecting to feel him beside me. i stripped and was about to dress in mourning clothes and instead put on a soft blue peasant blouse with a demure neckline and a dark skirt of velvet's and satin.

"Does the word 'tradition' come to mind my dear? Why must you give yourself to someone else's idea? Seek the one thou can truely love. Only then can you find true happiness." I hiss. "Thou oppressor care not for your happiness. Only care for their selfish gain."

I sink back into the darkness, satisfied I gave my warning. The hideous man bidding for her would not leave my mind.

Elizabeth

The gypsy woman gives me her warning, then fades back into the darkness. She was right, my father really only cared about what my marriage would do for his business.

"Seek the one thou can truely love," she had said. But who might that be? I couldn't think of any of the men in town that might give me that kind of happiness.

As I made my way back into town I thought that I would go see the gypsy woman tomorrow, maybe she could tell me where I could find this true love.

My name is Christine and I am exhausted. Scared and exhausted.

For two days I have been travelling, searching for someone who could help me. I had become seperated from my party when we were set upon by brigands. Lawless men with rape and pillage formost in their thoughts. Many of my party were struck down, the others fleeing with the brigands in hot pursuit. We had been ambushed. A cliff to one side of us, thick forest to the other. The area we were riding was littered with rocks of all sizes. It was from behind these rocks and from the forest they came.

With stealth they had approached. Startling the lead horse one of the brigands appeared in our path. Holding his sword in front of himself, the sun reflected against its polished surface and honed edge. The focused sunlight flickered around us, making our horses stamp and dance nervously. Exploding into weird ululations and shrieking their battle crys the whole band pounced upon us. My horse, Diablo, was the only one there that was battle-trained and I was able to keep my seat. Digging my heels into his sides he reared, forelegs kicking out striking one man down with his iron shod hooves. With teeth and hooves striking flesh he screamed his own battle cry. Fearing for my life even as my horse valiantly fought for for it, I spurred him hard and raced into the forest.

Blinded by tears of fright and dis-orientated by our brush with death we plunged deeper and deeper into the darkening forest. For a time I heard shouts following us. One of the brigands was chasing. Diablo and I zigged and zagged, walking in the small streams when we could and keeping in the thick of the forest when we couldn't. My dress became dirty and torn where branches had snagged it. When it became too dark to go on I dismounted Diablo and made camp near a stream, sure that by this time the brigand had again rejoined his fellows. I realised in short order that I had no means for lighting a fire and no food to eat. It was going to be a cold, lonely night. lying down on the forest floor I covered myself in leaves in an effort to add an insulating layer against the evenings chill. Eventually I fell into a restless sleep.

Morning came and I woke with the dawn. Filling up on water at the stream I looked around. I was lost. I couldn't see Diablo's tracks as we had arrived at this spot from walking in the stream and I didn't know from which direction we had come. Deciding that downstream was my best bet for finding a settlement I remounted and was on my way.

I watched the sun crawl slowly across the sky as the stream twisted and turned on the nearly level ground and night again fell before we found anyone. Again I covered myself in a carpet of leaves under a tree to sleep restlessly, my hunger now a dull ache in my belly.

At some point during the night I awoke to hear a snuffling sound and heavy slow footsteps. A hot rangy odour drifted to me on the quickening wind. Bear. Quick as a wink I clambered up the tree, tearing my expensive dress even more, but uncaring in my bid for safety. The noise of climbing alerted the bear and he lumbered over, scratching at the bark of the tree as he tried to capture me. Diablo was nowhere to be seen. His pitch black hide the perfect camoflage.

Looking wildly around me in the hope that I could figure out how to escape I saw a glow through the trees far in the distance. A bonfire.

With all of my might I began to scream for help.

As we sat playing and watching the women dance, I thought I heard faint screams in the background. I stopped strumming the guitar and cocked my head. Hoytus slowed and looked at me. "What is it?" He questioned. "Listen." I told him. We sat still a moment and I thought I heard it again. "There." "Did you hear that?" Hoytus thought a moment. "Perhaps I heard something," he said, "a mountain lion or bird. It is nothing, my friend. Now, come, play!" He slapped me on the shoulder, laughing as he began pounding his bongos again. I was not completely convinced, but played a little more anyway.

OOC> Are there no men in this camp? haha We could use some help here.

Terra

As I was heading back to camp, I heard the distinct cry of a distressed woman. I closed my eyes a moment and saw the vision of woman in a torn dress in a tree. At the base of the tree was a bear.

"Hoytus! 'round up the men and grab your weapons. There is a woman nearby in trouble. A bear has her trapped in a tree! Make haste!" I shout as I scurry into camp.

Hoytus was up and running, rounding the men and grabbing weapons to follow me.....

We had no interest in killing the bear, so when we came upon them, the men began shouting and thrusting their torches at the creature. He turned toward us for a moment before high tailing up the stream.

Hoytus and I approach the tree when the young woman is, and offer to help her down.

"Are you ok, dear?" I ask.

martine

So, it was someone I heard screaming. Terra shouted to Hoytus to bring the men and weapons. I ran to my trailer and placed the guitar inside, exchanging it for the sword and daggers I kept. I followed Terra to the place by the stream where we chased a large brown bear away. Up the tree was a young woman in a torn dress. The fear shown in her eyes as she looked down at us. Terra offered to help her. I reached out a hand to her. "It is safe now. Join us."

OOC roland are you rethinking character? i did try to introduce them to camp

Thomas:

Walking into his fathers home with his shirt untucked, his pants rumpled, and his hair all but a tangled mess, Thomas found his father setting in his favorite chair. He gripped his old stained oak wood cane, his knuckles showing white. Thomas knew he was angry, he only held his cane like that when he was. “Where have you been BOY?! And what have you done?” His father demanded in a low growl. Thomas couldn’t speak, he knew he couldn’t tell his father the truth but knew to lie would only anger his father more. “WELL!? Speak boy!” His father barked as he stood quickly, his cane flashing through the air, clacking harshly against the floor at his side. “I… I have been to see the Gypsy’s…” Thomas choked out finally.

“You.ve WHAT?!” His father shouted. “You’ve consorted with those PAGAN’S?! You know they are mortal SINNER’S boy! And I will not have you consorting with them! Ever again!” His father continued to shout as he caught Thomas by the elbow, his hand tightening to the point of pain. Thomas Winced in pain. “Father… You’re, you’re hurting me!” Thomas cried out. “What were you doing with these pagans!” His father demanded after looking him over, seeing how he was rather unkempt. His eyes burned into Thomas with suspicion and anger.

Thomas couldn’t tell his father what he had done, couldn’t bring himself to tell that he had been with a woman… A gypsy woman none the less! His father threw him to the floor, lifting his cane and bringing it down hard into Thomas’s thigh. Thomas cried out in pain from the blow. “Tell me!” he demanded, threatening to strike him with the cane once more. “I was with a woman…” Thomas cired, lifting a hand to fend off any more blows. His father stepped back from him in shock and horror at his sons words. Thomas laid on the ground holding his sore thigh, tears of pain welling up in his eyes. “My son… Seduced by a pagan harlot!” He hissed. “No father! They are no more evil than us! And she didn’t seduce me!” Thomas knew not where his words came from, but regretted it shortly. His father quaked with fury at his sons outburst. He brought his cane sweeping down across Thomas’s gut before either of them knew what was happening. Thomas screamed as the air was nocked out of him, he gasped for air as his father violently pulled him to his feet. “How dare you speak back to me boy!” His father shouted as he marched Thomas to his room, still grasping hold of his hair. He was thrown into his room and the door slammed behind him before he could recover. “You will stay in there until you have learned that I am your father and that you have committed a mortal sin boy!” His father shouted. Thomas got to his feet and slammed his fists against the solid wooden door, but it was too late, the door was locked. He dropped to his knees and began to cry in dispair.

Terra

As I was waiting for the young woman to descend from the tree, another vision passed over me.....this one was of the young man I had read the cards for earlier today.

His father was beating him, and locked him in his room..... I would have to share this with Mysteria as soon as I could.

mysteria

i approached crowd and found terra by her lover and waited for young girl to climb down tree to speak with her. girl was shuffled off by group to tend to her clothing, hair, and wounds

Back up the tree...

Suddenly a cluster of torches flowed out of the night. Voices shouting as the torch bearers fanned out to chase the bear away, and shouting to check that I was all right.

I called back down that I was ok and started to decend slowly. I almost fell the last few feet in my exhaustion, but warm hands assisted me the rest of the way.

I looked around gratefully, memorising the faces so I could thank them properly later. lifing a hand to a scratch on my face I realised that the bodice of my gown was torn and one of my breasts was exposed, the nippled puckered in the cool night air. With a gasp I took the flap of material and held it in place, covering myself.

To cover my confusion I lifted my head and whistled loud and shrilly, calling Diablo back to me. I held his reins and walked close to him, following the people back to their camp.

martine

As the group took the girl away, tending to her, I stood with Hoytus, Terra and Mysteria. I guessed the evening was about to come to an end. It had been a long day. "Good evening, Mysteria." I said, bowing slightly to her. She had lost her husband just after I came to this troupe and I knew her to be in the mourning time. It would soon be over. I clasped Hoytus on the back. "Good evening my friend." I nodded to Terra and backed away from them. I was ready for my trailer and the soft bed inside.

Terra

Once the others were attending to Christine, as she told us, I sought out Mysteria.

"Mysti, my dear. Come here, I must speak to you at once." We climbed in to my trailor, and I shared with her my vision of her young man.

Looking over my shoulder as I walked away I saw a small group of gypsies. A chill ran down my spine and I couldn't help but think that there was more bad news to come this night.

mysteria

my lip forms a thin tight line.

"am i pregnant?" is all i can ask not wanting to think of him looked in room unable to imagine him trapped.

Hoytus

OOC: I'm going to play Hoytus as well as myself.

IC: I approached the young woman we saved earlier from the bear.

"Excuse me....you are welcome to stay with us until your wounds have healed. Where are your comrades? How did you come to be alone?"

Terra

I put my hands upon her belly, and close my eyes. A vision comes to me, and I see Mysti with not one, but two babes in her arms. It was not clear whether they were twins, as her figure was two as well, imposed over one another...but it was clear who the father was.

But then another vision showed her barren. It was the as her own vision she'd received before, because the young man of her fancy was not in this one. I open my eyes slowly.

"No, Mysti. You are not pregnant. And I have seen your fate if the young man does not choose to be with you. We must see what we can do for him." I say softly.

Thomas:

Having sobered himself from his dispair Thomas sat on his bed, looking toward the window to the outside world. He longed to leave this place more than ever now. As he looked out the window he saw movement outside. His father set to town on horse and carriage... No, he was going in the wrong direction... He was heading to the towns church... Thomas was sure of it. And knew that he would return with a priest... "But just want my freedom isn't a sin." He thought. He watched as his father rode off out of view. The red throbbing of the welts his father had given him started to burn as he moved over to the window. He sat and looked out the window for some time, drifing off to sleep. Some time later he woke with a start for no reason. He looked up, out the window and there, not more than ten feet from him was a deer. It looked up at him at the same moment as if just noticing each other. Thomas stared as the deer moved a few feet closer. He put a hand to the cold glass of his window and smiled at the deer.

Terra

After sending Mysti off to her place of rest, and Hoytus re-joining me, I fell quickly in a deep sleep. One of my spirit guides, the deer, came to visit me in my dreams.

"Come with me." It said. And I followed like an obediant child. Soon we were near the young mans home, and i could see him through his window. I watched as he pressed his hand to the glass and smiled.

Then the deer did an odd thing. It boldly approached the window, and reared it's front hooves up as high as it could. It's head tilted forward till his horns touched the window pane. It remained that way for a good full minute. The head went back up, as it pushed himself off the wall of the house and bounding off into the forest.
