Pm me and call me a bitch, whore whatever. Get pissed if I don't reply back the way you prefer or whatever, just STOP apologizing for sending a pm. If the worst thing that happens is I get a random pm from a horny stranger, then I don't have it that bad. The forums were probably set up as much for pm's as it was for public posts. Guys, you have balls dontcha? Use them.

It's probably because most times we don't ever get a response and assume it's because we're troubling the ladies with the burden of having to read a pm.

As you say, if the worst thing you face is a guy trying to be polite and opening with an apology, you don't have it that bad. It has to be better than calling you a bitch or telling you the size of their cock.

Fuck 'em. If you send someone a pm and he/she gets his/her panties in a wad they can get the fuck over it. You took the time to (hopefully) send a decent message and try and meet someone which is not an easy thing to do anyway. If they are ok with it they can chat back. If not, ignore and move on. If someone chastised me for the nerve I have for pm'ing them, oh shit I would have fun with that one.

The ones we reply to and the ones we ignore. Sometimes they strike a harmonious chord and other times they strike a nerve. As the recipient, we can choose to respond to it however we do as long as our response is genuine. As the sender I think we have the responsibility to be very aware and again genuine with what we send. It's not rocket science, it does however reveal a great deal about who we really are..........

While its only a metaphor; think of it as a first date...............

Absolutely. Fine entertainment. No one is forced to be on Lit - so it's not like any of us are blind dialing a phone number, or just sending emails to random addresses.

The person on the other end voluntarily clicked ON the PM function. That means they understand they are going to receive some.

A man that gets it. :) Guys you don't have to show up with attitude either (tho I will admit to liking sex that is sometimes........aggresive) just be you and don't tuck your tail if someone gets an attitude simply because you wanted to meet them. For crying out loud it's actually a compliment. You thought enough about them in some way to go out of your way and waste your time.

People just get way, way too bent out of shape over PM's both ways. If someone doesn't respond to you then they just aren't interested in fucking talking to you. Move on, there are a few thousand other people on here to try to strike up the conversation (or other thing) that you are looking for.

On the other hand, if you get a PM you don't like, don't respond it it, it's that simple. If you respond to it and make a drama of it then you are just encouraging that person most often than not. Let's face it, people sending random PM's are just looking for some kind of attention. For some people ANY attention is good, positive or negative, and the more you respond the more they will send you PM's. They are hoping you will keep giving them attention and that you will just cave in and give them the responses they want.

If all else fails, the site has a powerful tool for everyone, the ignore feature. :D

Well at least we would get a reply! Now I know the secret, at least yours. Still don't think I would use my time writing someone to be mean. As others said, just move on to someone else that might be interested.

This thread made me chuckle, If you're gonna PM somebody, you should have had some interaction with them on the forums unless they're asking for messages. XD Eat the spineless ones alive though, If you don't have a spine online then you must have something worse irl.
