Take the bug out of your ass and re-read Nessus's comments. In no way was she being disparaging about your av; in fact, she is one of the few that is openly supporting it. She pointed out the double standard that exists (here and in general) in accepting our porn airburshed and sanitized, instead of in its natural, imperfect state.

And I don't like your av, either. It's too green. Given the overly passive position of the bottom guy, it makes him look a tad too corpse-like for my taste.

Nessus never claimed enlightment or liberation because of who she is. You absurdly read that into her posts. She mocked the disparity between social standards of beauty and sexuality. She openly supported your attempt to shake up the ingrained patterns. And for that you haughtily dismiss her by saying, "I know she is a better person than her comments"? How forgiving of you. That makes things so much better than actually taking the effort to read comments in the light in which they were given.

You present nothing more than a single amateur shot of a homosexual coupling, and from that she (and all of us?) are supposed to wax philosophical about how enlightment stems from accepting all people and practices along the spectrum? I think I matched the tone of your post to me, which scarily resembled Rick's, though without his lack of depth.

Condescending? Yes, moreso than yours was for sure.

I read Nessus' words different than you for numerous reasons and thus my response. Perhaps you rushed to comment for reasons that are unclear to me.

You, as well as others, make valid points. I fear mine are lost as a result of my own actions, so be it.

Lets be clear about one thing. This wasnt some showcase for disussion. I wasnt making an "attempt to shake up the ingrained patterns". The reaction generated by this avatar has surprised me more than most everyone else.

In the end I have lost sight of what matters, thats my shortcoming.
