A static IP would be a dead giveaway.

A dynamic IP is more difficult: the person has to switch alts during the same connection for there to be a match.

Well, you know, its sad, but I don't think just because a bunch of people are horrible, it means everyone else is too. Maybe you have to be a little more careful of who you trust, but to stop trusting everyone would, I think, be a real tragedy. I'm happy with the people I know and the friends I have...I still trust them, even after all this. I think it would be quite sad if we all lost our trust of eachother...the world would be a somewhat horrible place, then.

Also, the story about Laurel passing IP information (or the results of detective work on it) to anybody sounds highly far-fetched to me.

Besides that sort of thing being totally out of character, it just doesn't seem like something she would even bother about.

Lol, the two people I really trust here and who actually know my secrets that are secrets I know from out of Lit. So, I'm not worried. But as to everyone else...you know, I don't distrust them either. I don't see any reason to. They've never given me any reason to. Maybe its naivety, but I'd rather be naive than harshly cynical.

That whole part of the story was hearsay. Third party information.

Truthfully, I don't use excel all that much for creating spreadsheets and I never use the comment feature in either excel or word. Any of our complicated excel spreadsheets at work are prepared long before they get to my desk for review. Good thing, too. I never did get the hang of those "if" statements.

I'm not angry or disillusioned about lit after desiqn's revelations. I was gobsmacked.

I'll just continue on my merry way now and still be slightly wary of who I trust and extremely thankful for the good friends I have made at lit who are trustworthy.

Despite this latest fucked up fiasco I hope people will still see that the GB is more positive than negative. But I doubt it 'cos the drama and negativity seems to get the most hype and publicity.
