This, I actually agree with. I'm not excusing hte behavior of posting under an alt. However, if Heavy didn't post info that was given to him in confidence (and no, I have no idea if he's being truthful), and simply posted things that he found elsewhere on the board, that's not quite in the same realm as what desiqn and Bob did.

In fact, aside from saying it under an alt, he didn't really do anything that all of us haven't done at one time or another - dredge up old info, take it out of context, and use it to hurt someone or prove a point, or whatever.

Again, I'm not excusing his behavior or saying that it's ok. But I do agree that it's just a little different.

But, when he saw what shit was going on why didn't he confess? Why not change the password?

Maybe I"m being harder on him because he's the only one I'm disappointed in, but I don't think that's all of it.

And no, I can't say I have ever done that. But then again I'm not generally the type of poster that goes around getting into the middle of each and every drama around here, nor do I enjoy hurting others. I don't derive pleasure by being a bitch.

Because a lot of people don't feel responsible the way others do. I would have done things differently. I'm sure that you would have too. Because we have developed real friendships here, and we tend to go toe to toe with people who are raking our friends over the coals.

Having said that, I should probably say that I have had Bob and Marximus, and about 85 other people on ignore for months. I missed a lot of the threads that were posted by these alts. I only took guileful off ignore when I begged it to troll me, and then it went back on.

So, I'm ignorant of a lot of the things that were said. I'm just basing my post on the idea that stirring shit is one thing - dragging someone through it face first is entirely different. And I think Heavy was stirring it.

No one has posted any evidence I broke trust from private communication to a post on the board. There isn't any.

I do not mean this in a nasty way, but if people don't believe me I don't care. I enjoy posting on Lit, I respect many opinions from many different people. Some of these people I'd like to meet, the friends I have off of the board know me as an entirely different person. I don't show that side because it's a defense mechanism.

Regardless of what this all boils down to in 2 hours or 2 weeks, the one thing that I will maintain is the trust in secrets and private conversations people have given to me. No matter how much I disagree with a person or hate them, I won't betray their secrets. That's 99% of what I'm defending.
