Guidance on referencing other sites

Hello,

I have posted several stories on Literotica, but I also post stories on another site which, due to their content, would not be possible to post here. I have tried posting links in a story submission but this is apparently not permitted. Nor is advising readers to read the comments to a story to find a link to the other site.

Am I allowed to post a link to the other site in a comment to my own story (if I do not mention it in the story text)? Or then what is the acceptable way to inform my readers on how to find these other stories?

Any advice is much appreciated.

You can't. The site won't allow promotion of other sites or links to content on other sites (other than images or reference sites). The site certainly won't allow links to sites that allow content that Lit doesn't allow. The single exception - the site will allow you to promote books you might publish elsewhere, provided you have content published on Lit.

Best you can do is start a personal website or blog or something and link to that in your bio. From there, link to all your work.

People will still have to be sufficiently motivated to discover it on their own, because you can't put anything in a submission that hints to look for offsite work.

I think you can put it in your signature - many people have external links...

Oddly enough, there is at least one site and I think two that allow you to mention other sites by name. I'd have to check to see if they allow links.

If I really have to mention another site to somebody, I will send them a PM. Usually, it's because they are looking for someplace to post their work that won't fit on Lit because of the standards. It can backfire because there are sites that are even stricter than Lit on certain issues (not age, but no fan fiction and such).

AFAIK you can link to other story sites directly from your bio. But that, forum signatures, and this thread are the only options I know of that Lit permits for advertising one's stories elsewhere.

I had not expected so many replies. Thank you all very much for your advice.

It seems my best option is to update my bio. I will do that.

I get regular questions from readers asking where more stories can be found, hence my original post. Hopefully at least some will be able to find out for themselves now.

I wonder if you can post your twitter account the way major corporations do.
