Guest for Lunch

We had a guest for Lunch Yesterday We had went out to eat. The restaurant over looks a small lake Makes for a very relaxing setting for lunch. I had this feeling of being watched for sometime, you know that feeling you get the hair on the back of your neck stands up and it feels like something craw up and down your back.

I looked out the window sure enough we where being watched. there he stood just staring in at us. looking at us while we ate our lunch. it was making it hard to eat knowing he was standing thee most likely wanting what we had greedly filled our plates with. I finely could not take it any longer and went out to confront this guy.

I guess I kind of spooked him but I was able to get a few Photos of this guys before he could get away.

Blue according to the picture. Blue Heron.

I found this about said heron:

the Iroquois tribe held the blue heron as a very good omen, a very lucky sign. They recongnized the heron as an expert fisher/hunter. As such, they believed that sighting a heron before a hunt was a sign that the hunt would be a good one.

So, Redpaint, where and when were you planning on going hunting?

Aren't those beautiful birds? We have a few that stop by and hunt frogs in our lagoon and then fly off.
