ME! Steven suprised me with a collar at the zoo- of all places!
It is small with a silver clasp and star cutouts around it. I'm sure I'll post pictures sometime.
Just wanted to share with people who would understand why i was so excited.

Congrats. I've never heard of anyone getting collared at the zoo before! I can understand why you're so excited, it surely is a big event. :)

The zoo is a very unique setting for a collaring. Based on the description of your collar it sounds very pretty. i look forward to seeing the photos.

i've been wearing my Master's collar for close to a year now. i was not expecting it, and when He offered His collar to me, i felt quite honored. The sybolism it holds means even more to me now, than the first day i wore it for Him.

Such a very special and exciting event for you, i am certain.

Best of wishes & Cngratulations to the two of you !

Congratulations

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of such a beautiful sounding collar

xx

Sounds beautiful. Is it silver? Where did he get it? K wants to get me a collar, but we're having the worst time finding one. I have really sensitive skin and I can't wear anything but silver, gold, or platinum, I break out in a rash. I can't even wear things made of surgical steel. (When I wear earrings with surgical steel posts my ears are infected within an hour.) Since we're working on a budget, that rules out gold and platinum. I pulled up the thread we have about collars, but none of the links led to to a place that has silver (not silver plated, silver) collars.

No, the whole thing isn't silver, just the clasps. The band is small diameter leather with star cutouts. The stars match the stars I have tattooed in my ear and the moon on my neck. I can't imagine not being able to wear metal, though. I'd have to be rid of so many of my favorite piercings :)

congrats on the new collar. I hope to give my close friend a collar soon we have been talking things over I think she will accept it. At least I hope she will.

liked your response

Would leather work? ;)

Congrats. Its one of those 'melting moments' isn't it?

And I can't imagine being without my body jewellery either.I had to take them out for surgery last year and felt more naked than I ever do without clothes.
Good thing I've got tats, or the nurses wouldn't have anything to whisper about.
and I know they do. I'm the nurse they always send in now to "get that ring out"

I have the same problem, only I can wear surgical steel, but not silver. There's some really nice leather ones out there. T ordered one for me all the way back in February but we still haven't gotten it. He called the company and they're "doing what they can." Of course, you'd probably still get a rash from the clasp. Try coating it with clear nailpolish. I've done that with some of my jewelry and it holds up okay.
