Guess What!!!!

I had the devine pleasure of meeting ADR, she is WONDERFUL and very loving and very grounded and I love her to death.. she knows that wont be our only lunch date... It was an amazing afternoon...

:) reserve a room at the top of one of the hotels and have a girls party ?

I had a wonderful two weeks away.

Every day was fabulous but the absolute high light was meeting ADR.

She picked us up from the airport, took us to our hotel, took us shopping and put me to bed when I unexpectedly felt ill (jet lag I think). She took him to get a hire car and showed him how to drive up kerbstones and through red lights :cattail:

When we returned to Vegas she didn't complain when we (I mean him ) messed up the travel times and we arrived 4 hours late.

The downside was not being able to meet Sir Leo or SKL.
The days and times just didn't work out with Sir Leo and despite having SKL new number I couldn't get hold of her. Now I am home I realise I didn't put the US code in front of her number...dumb, dumb, dumb. Sorry SKL, ADR said you were great and we were looking forward to seeing you.

I am worn out, I will post about the holiday when I have had some sleep and figured out what day it is lol

As for the toilets The scared the **** out of me!!! I leapt out of the cubicle and then peered back in. I could not figure out how it had all happened!!!

As for the frog, the boxer short tree and the understatement of the word 'yikes' they are all stories that will have to wait until later:kiss:

Suffice to say, I loved ADR before I met her; but now I know why I love her. She is a wonderful woman.

Shy's been my online friend for a long time. We don't talk to each other everyday, in fact, sometimes not for weeks. The same is true of a few others I call friend here. Like me, they have busy, demanding lives outside their computers.

I have never known Shy to be self-absorbed. As my friend, she has always been concerned and interested in my life. She has been there for me at some of my lowest points, even while she had been suffering her own grief. She has never made her personal burdens and problems fodder for threads, blurts or gossip. She is generous with her heart and her time. She keeps confidences. She cares about people and she has proven to me what it is to be a friend.

Meeting and spending time with her affirmed for me that she is all and more than I had known her to be online.

This is not a mutual appreciation post. I want to point out only that there is more than one way to know a person and there are as many ways as there are people who know us.

If you can call Shy your friend, you are a blest person.

I don't say this lightly and don't say this often but I love you, Shy. I can't wait to meet you again. Thank you for the time you gave me during your vacation.

I just caught your post Miss Rose and I concur in totality.

Behind the scenes it's been a few very difficult years and while Shy and I also do not live in each others pockets, nor have the luxury of constant contact due to personal/professional obligations, screwy time zones etc I consider her to be the epitome of a friend. Heaven's it was just before her departure stateside and I was dealing with fallout from the respite worker from Hell, she was packing her luggage in the middle of her night, talking to me over the phone at the same time managed to calm me down . No small feat that day.

Consider yourself inclusive in that realm Miss ADR, then again you already knew it.

So far I've only met Shyslave once, and like ADR and Rebecca I haven't talked to her much on at all, except a few pm's and a bit on yahoo. But I do have fond memories from earlier this year, when Andante and I set up a surprise for her, and I got to meet the both of them on one of her visits to Denmark. We spent a few hours together, and time just flew by, the talk went easily, and I loved the hug I got when we said goodbye to each other. I'm totally looking forward to meeting her in London again in a couple of months time, and I know I'll have a great time.
