Only a week to go and I am so excited about coming over. (I don't like the banana, but sometimes no other emoticon will do!)

He has made all the travel and itinerary plans, I have just listened and agreed (it works for me!).

I can't believe I will have the chance to meet ADR and SKL.

Plus, I get to figure out if he and I can put up with each other for two weeks...LOL

Now you guys are making me wish I could drive up to Vegas this weekend. Shy, have a great trip over here. The Canyon is beautiful this time of year. If you're lucky, it may even get a sprinkling of snow before you get there. The only negative about Hoover Dam these days - except for the infernal traffic - is that they removed the paint on the road that showed the line between Nevada and Arizona that used to be there! Have a great and safe trip!

I did wonder what he would think about my wanting to meet people but he is interested to meet people I have been talking to online for such a long time.

I am not sure if we are going to go to the canyon or not, I looked at his plans but it wasn't on there.

OTOH Alcatraz island is, so I am really happy about that.

Shame that they moved the State line from the Dam, that would have been good to see.

We had a marvelous day and a half!!!

Her Dom guy is funny, witty and a very intelligent conversationalist. He can talk on all kinds of levels, about all kinds of things. He has lovely dimples, too.

Shy is stunningly short. LOL I don't meet many people who are THAT much shorter than I and she is THAT much shorter. She is warm, affectionate, cute, charming and very funny and fun to be with. I wish we'd had more time to shop together because our tastes run very similar and what little time we had, was such fun.

I think they both were quite taken with Las Vegas. I hope they enjoyed what little bit we got to see together. It was a treat for me, foremost for getting to meet shy but, because I don't go to the Strip often.

I hope they have a wonderful time in California and that the trip is safe. I didn't realize that he was kinda teaching himself American driving skills by watching mine, (fatal mistake on his part - there's not a curb anywhere that I don't miss hitting.)

All in all it was a true highlight for me to have this chance to meet her. And I can't wait to see her again!!!

I would like to meet almost anyone who posts here. I would go out of my way to make that happen, (although this week didn't work out for SubKekiLee and me, there are going to be lots of opportunities soon enough.) I have been lucky enough to meet several outstanding folks but Las Vegas is a fun destination for a lot of people, which makes it easier for me.

And WD, I hear lots of "oh, I was just in Vegas last week/month". Oh, how very nice to know, NOW. I take that to mean that there are many who have no desire to meet me. Or the ones who state interest and then at the last minute, have some reason that it can't happen. Again, the message is that they never had an interest to begin with. Makes me uncomfortable asking someone who will be near me or I will be near, if they'd like to meet.

On another note: SuperWalmart translates to SuperShopping for me. I'd come see you. ;-D I'll bring you some bottle water when I come.

Fury knows that I want to make a trip to see her in the next year (which includes seeing WD and Des; Geoff and Janey, if they are interested. And anyone else who lives around there.) My last plans to go there fell apart when I got so sick last winter. My plans this time will be in the spring/summer of next year.

Meeting the total person whose words you've only read or whose voice you've only heard, is really awesome. And I've never been disappointed or surprised. Every one I've had the pleasure to meet, has been exactly how they present in text.

Shy was just as genuine and fabulous as I knew she'd be!!!

We had a wonderful dinner together last night, courtesy of her Pal. Very nice of him to treat us. Great meal and lotsa hugs at the end.

They've had a very full and fun vacation and I'm sure she'll have lots of stories to share. I'll let her explain the frog pictures, when she gets them downloaded. That's a good story... LOL and she has to tell it since I was only part of it in spirit and dark glasses.

LOL, I was used to those when I came here, but what got me were the automatic seat cleaning ones which spun the seat around when you were finished....I sort of can never help visualising one malfunctioning and catching some unsuspecting person out before they were ready to get up!!
