I would like to introduce myself, although it seems somewhat redundant at this point. I did introduce myself on the Editor's Forum briefly, thinking, in my noobiness, that would suffice.
So, here it is. I am a young 42-year-old married female with one child. I have a bachelor's degree in teaching, although I've never really taught. I work at home doing medical transcription and find that days can go by without one intelligent adult conversation taking place.
I have always wanted to write, but it never occurred to me that I could do it just for my own satisfaction and entertainment until about 5 months ago. I wrote a few erotic stories, which I shared with friends. They liked them, but even better, I loved writing them.
I know a lot of you probably think I shouldn't be here in the AH, but I disagree. I subscribe to the theory that you have to "dress for the job." I am an author, unpublished, but an author nontheless. Unlike some others, I am confident that my stories will be posted on Lit. Not because I think I'm a literary genius, but because I will work on them until they are good enough to pass muster.
Whew! This has become much more long winded than I intended.
Thank you to everyone who has made me feel welcome and to everyone who has offered their kind assistance. It means a lot.
