ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice, ice

if I remember correctly( no guarentee there) since this happened more than 24 hours ago.. start putting a heating pad on it.. to increase the blood flow, and keep it wrapped

try both heat and ice and see which works better.

OR. go to the doctors sweetie! if it dont go down soon thats what your gonna have to do. Ya cant go around being a gimp. *hugs*

Moist heat and a compression (ACE(tm)) bandage. Wrap tight, but not tight enough to cut off circulation.

A foot bath, (aka a bucket of hot water,) as warm as you can stand it is the best way to apply moist heat.

Exactly so,,, been there and done that.

If, after 48 hours the swelling has not subsided, then there is a better than fair chance that have either a dislocation,,, or more probably, you have torn something,,, at that point a visit to your friendly clinic is in order.

Yep alternate ice and heat and if it hasn't gone down by tomorrow you should go see the dr because you have probably pulled something. And stay off of your ankle as much as possible.
