An old question with a new twist...

I finally got my hormones, any my breasts will be developing over the next couple years. Being extremely sefl-conscious, I want to maximize any growth. Would heat, massage, diet, exercise, or lifestyle changes have any effect on size/texture, or is it entirely genetic?

Fortunately my genes are favourable, but I still want to do everything I can. I can already feel a tiny bit of growth...

Breasts are made out of fat, and to a _small_ extent breasts (and hips) grow more when a high-fat diet is eaten.

I learned to accept that mine wouldn't be like Dolly Parton's in ninth grade. sigh.

Honey, you could spend a million dollars on all the "enhancement" products on sale, and they would gladly take your money, but what you got is what you get. You can do some pec excercises to help them stick out a bit more but that's about it. Course, a push up bra with the right shirt can do wonders!

Besides which, unless you like backaches, big breasts are a pain, literally.

You too?

I think I came to that same conclusion about seventh grade, when my best friend confessed to me she had 48DDs. I definitely didn't inherit my grandmother's big boob gene either- thank god! Poor woman, she had 56EEs on a 5'2" frame!

MY GOD! Ouch, she must have needed shopping trolleys for each one, just to move around.

Recall the industrial- strength bras of the 1950s? Yeah, something like that, with about a dozen hooks up the back.

Mine are a 40 C and I pretty much can't jog or run without a serious bra on and even then it's not pleasant. I never have backaches though. :)

LOL

You guys can have some of mine. I inherited the nightmare boob size. Once I get the weight down, if they're still too large, I think I'm going to reduce them. I think it depends on what my future SO says. I'm used to them now but it's just like...shopping for bras and blouses are a nightmare.

Temp, find a good trainer and later bra with good support. That'll help you as your muscles adapt to the new weight in the front.

I know genetics accounts for most of it, but I've heard nutrition and exercise make a difference.

I know I shouldn't worry, but I can't help it. Having the wrong chromosome automatically reduces growth, and I want a chance to even things out. Maybe I'll get some weight gain powder. I'm underweight anyway, so it will probably be good for me.

some guys, like myself, actually like smaller breasts. Big breasts are nice to stare at, but otherwise small breasts are great.

Another possible way (though I'm not at all certain it'll work) is to build up the pectoral (chest) muscle. It may look like a bit odd, but if you build the muscle up to a desired point, and then stop working out (muscle not used turns itself into a place of fat storage-which is what boobs are) you may get what you want.

I am with you on that one pa-guy, love the feel of a breast that fits exactly in my hand.

*looks down and pouts* Wish I could donate mine to a good cause...not all but some.

I think as long as the person is happy with who they are - then small or big doesn't matter. Me, the female form is beautiful no matter what size the breasts are. *winks* They're still wonderful to cup and play with.

yes they are!

I think it's a different issue for transwomen, actually. Having big breasts is "proof" of one's femininity. Of course plenty of natal females have small breasts, but it's considered easier to pass as female if a t-girl's boobs are bigger. I don't think temp256 is going for back-breaking sizes, just something that will be big enough to help her feel like she's really achieved something. :rose:

I agree. I'm a 38D and it's one of the reasons my back hurts.

I would guess the best thing you can do is just have a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle.
You're "programmed" to be beautyful. No need to try and mess around with it.

And, as has been stated before, more than enough guys (myself included) absolutely looooooove small breasts. And big breasts. And everything inbetween.

When it comes to breasts, I really don't see why some people are so picky...

It's society... and maybe a little bit of prehistoric programming.

Back when our ancestors were hunter-gatherers, large breasts (and hips) on women were a sign of being very fertile and capable of producing healthy young that were vital to the propagation of the species. In the modern era, marketers have exploited this programming, and- if you pardon the twisted humor- have blown it out to huge proportions. The bigger the boobs, the sexier the woman, at least that is what they want us to believe. There are those that don't fall for that ploy and my hat's off to them.

i didn't fall for the ploy horray me :)

In some ways, that mentality helps for those of us who are a bit larger in frame. My first experience with a woman, she called my figured the Earth Mother style. Gods, you have no idea how quickly that relaxed me. Heavy girls aren't admired that much. Usually hips and boobs seem to follow when you get heavier.

heh, wanna talk genetics? Boy did I get the boobieless prize on that! Yep, it's kinda funny, but I blame it on my Grandmother all the time because she cursed me by praying everyday that I would look like my dad...well...I am the spitting image (Hack-phoot) in female form. Everyone other woman in my family has large breasts (it feels horrible that my 13 yr old cousin has bigger boobs than me)!

My dilemma is that I'm a big girl (5'7 about 180-5lbs) so I look very disproportionant to my body with a 38B. Now here's the real kicker...that's only one breast. My other breast is atleast a cup size smaller! No, I don't want to be Dolly, but I'd like to feel more comfortable in my skin and be able to wear shirts that fit correctly. And it really ticks me off that some think women have breast augmentation to apease men! I want it and honey let me tell you it is NOT to make a guy happy about me! I could give a shit less!

As far as I know and I've asked my doctor, there are no real solutions to this...diet is always helpful but won't do anything significant and exercise will only slight increase the muscle, but that might look odd to some. I've asked the question, "Well, if guys can take hormones and get boobs, why can't I?" It turns out they really don't, the hormones produce the fatty tissue giving them "buds" and then they usually get implants. Oh well I will just deal with what I got until I can get what I want.

New here

Greetings all,
New to the community here, am TG MtF preop, been out for 15 years and living full time for 13 of those. 44C, here but it took a long while. The first year was really fustrating for me very little growth, and thought I'd have to look at surgery for breast enhancment. Years 2 and 3 was when I started seeing more changes and feeling less clockable. I think it was about year 6 or 7 that I hit the 44C, part of the problem was I was bouncing between doctors and on and off hormones. I agree with several of the posters that stated bigger breasts are important to TG women because its an affirmation of our femininety. I also think, at least is true of me, that having bigger breasts helps break up my previous square frames and assists in softening our look. Okay thats my two cents
