I took a look in the Group Sex category. A lot of the stories seem to be "threesomes" but personally I don't really think that qualifies as "group sex" to me. I think Group Sex, I see a room full of people making out with one another, fucking each other, going down on each other...

How many people would YOU say would qualify as "Group Sex" and why?

I agree, but Lit doesn't have a "threesomes" category.

I'm persoanlly a bit more restrictive in defining "group sex" because "Serial intercourse" is no more a "group" than a threesome is -- "Group Sex" for me is three or more all involved in sex at once. A Double Penetration is "group sex." A "Train" at the Frat house is NOT "group sex" to me.

However, both belong in the "group sex" category here at Lit beause they don't (usually) fit elsewhere.

I agree. Anything more than three. If I join a group for dinner, I'm not going to sit down at a table with just 2 people. That's not even enough people for a good game of bridge.

No less than 4

My vote goes that group sex should include at least four people and that not necessarily that it should be composed of two couples in a foursome. I've always see group sex portrayed in adult films as more of a random event-multiple participant sort of thing or in stories by the charcter(s) encountering several partners in a series of adventures.....

I guess I'm a little out of step. To me, one is masturbation, two is a couple, and three or more are a group. I would agree that one person having sex individually with a series of other people may not really be a group - unless all the others are there and doing something as well.

With three, it can be one on one on one, two on one, on or two doing and the other(s) watching - it's all group sex to me - a group having sex. And once you get to eight or ten it's an orgy.

old pocket oxford,

group = number of persons or things near together, or belonging or classed together; smaller unit than a party; number of commercial companies under one owner; division of air force

oh my golly... remind me to never open my dictionary, tooooo many stories fall out ;)

Group sex

If three can be a crowd, seems like it qualifies as a group. As Harold pointed out, there isn't a separate category for threesomes.

It is a good thing we have key words to help sort things out.

Three Vs. Four

looks like we're about tied with whether three or four people is a group...hmmm...

if I write a threesome story and put it in the group sex category do you think people will write me and say "THREE PEOPLE ISN'T A GROUP!" ?

Now that you've planted the idea, it's almost garaunteed. :p

Wow!

division of air force.

Division of Air Force!

Now there's an incredible concept for a group story.

Forgot to answer the question.

I believe that when it comes to the definition of a group, a threesome is okay--as long as it's three men and me. (lol)

characters

It gets hard for me when I have to start writing names instead of "he" and "she" - not that I use "he" and "she" instead of names, but when you hAVE to use names so that the reader knows what's going on...sheesh. complicated.
