BEWARE! If you're contacted, you may consider that I sent these people 7 of my stories back in July. I was told that I'd get 7 of their digest with my stories in them. I'm still waiting with no hope of seeing anything.
Just thought I'd spread the word.

Thanks for the warning

Hi Larry:

I was contacted by Group MVP recently. However, based on your warning and other discussions here, I have decided not to submit my work to them. Actually, I kind of like the open, non-commercial, atmosphere for authors at Literotica. Old Guy

Thank Larry. The question of whether they're trustable has come up on the forum a few times, so it's nice to have a definitive answer.

There have been several threads about Group MVP in the AH.
We do care - but not recently.

I have sent stuff to Group MVP. I have received the four digests my stories were featured in as well as a cheque (which cleared promptly).

I know at least two other people with similar outcomes to mine, i.e. that they received the digests and payment.

If you haven't already done so, it may be best to drop Francine an email voicing your concerns.

Hope it works out for you. :)

I've heard stories both ways... I got a complimentary copy of their magazine and decided against submitting anything there...

I'm sorry, but it was funny. And I meant the stories about MVP, not the ones in the magazine. :D:rose:

oh it just wasn't my kind of thing... at the time, I wasn't writing a lot of "straight stroke"... I figured most of my stuff was too soft for them...

You do realize that you only sent them last month (ok, so we're at the end of August, but it still hasn't been very long). It could very well be that yours have just not been published yet. I think it's a bit soon to be getting worried.

My first thought is that an ink and paper pubisher requires a lead time to get anything in print and is unlikely to print seven stories from the same author in a single issue -- It might be a year or more before your stories are printed and they have copiesof their publication to send you.

They published my work

I submitted a story to GROUP MVP. Yes, it took a few months; however, today I got an interesting surprise in the mail: a check and a copy of my book.

Patience is a virtue!

I let them print five of my smutty stories and got a check from them and copies of the five digests they appeared in. They also printed seven of my stories as a novel, and I got a check for that and a copy of the book. I have since gotten another check for six stories they printed. They don't pay much, but they pay more than Literotica, so I'm not complaining.

Edited to add: I didn't realize before I posted, just how old this thread is.
