Hey all --

So I've never really "groomed" down there before, and I'd like to start. But my question is how exactly should I do it? Razor, clippers, etc.? Seems like a pretty sensitive area, so I'd love to hear if any one has an good suggestions/tips!

Thanks!

clippers are the fastest easiest way, and if you wanna go more bare razor the rest in the shower with shaving cream. its not as sensitive or as difficult as it sounds.

My husband and I both use a beard trimmer. It works well and quickly and doesn't nick or leave razor burn.

I use hair removal cream. It stinks but, it's quick, easy and you don't get razor burn. Although, speaking of burn, if you are doing your chest as well (yes, some ladies like a bare chest), DO NOT get it on our nipples!! You'll feel that burn for days lol. Just follow the instructions on the bottle. Simple as that.

Hope that helps

I'm a scissors guy, but then again, I'm not bare or that closely cut, just trimmed back.

Scissors to do most of the macro deforestation. For the fine work, you'll want either shaving cream and a razor, or an electric shaver; either will do fine. It also helps if you have someone else to do it, since they can see that area better than you. After the first time, you'll have the lay of the land, so to speak, and be able to handle things yourself.

Thanks for all the input everyone -- tried the scissors since I already had them. Worked, ok but I think I'll check out the beard trimmer next.

Thanks!

if you are brave enough you can always try waxing too. waxing is expensive so i don't do it all the time. i have found that magic hair removal powder works well for me. mix it with water, leave it on for 7 minutes, and wash it off. all the hair is gone. you can find it in the ethnic hair section in most wal-marts or walgreens. pretty inexpensive too. :D

Which hair removal cream? And it doesn't burn?

<<<< if you are brave enough you can always try waxing too. waxing is expensive so i don't do it all the time>>>>

You say waxing and all I see is that scene in the "40 year old virgin". Yeow. I don't know how the women do it. They all must have a bit of masochist in them.

I use a small beard trimmer, not much to it.. can't really do any harm with those.. I don't like the razor idea around the goods, that and it's itchy when you shave all the way down... the trimmer gets you down where you need to be anyway.. fastest way to get an extra inch and looks and feels so much better.. rub some lotion on that bare shaft and balls and it feels so much better you'll want to wank it.. Nice when it's smooth for rubbing on a nice smooth pussy.....

Just don't do it around your time of the month and you'll be just fine. :D

Really though, consider this. Waxing leaves you smoother, longer. Shaving is just so...gross, to me. So spike-y and stubbly! But hey, try them all out and find which you prefer. Good luck. :)

I really like the look and feel of clean shaven. I've used a razor a bunch and it is great right away, but if I shave in the morning, by that evening I scratch the hell out of my wife's sensitive areas. Is there any way to keep it smooth longer...even if just for a day? Do the chemical removers work/safe?

Are there any body trimmers that one would recommend? There seems to be many on the market such as:

It's true. Shaving really only works well for about 18 hours. After 1 nights' sleep it's stubbly again. I don't think it matters if you are a guy or a girl.

But women clearly care more about doing it right since you are willing to do that waxing thing.

We appreciate it! We're just too wussy to try it ourselves. :D

i'm a guy and i've been getting a couple brazilian waxes a year, i'd have them done more often but they get pricey. i don't find it that painfull. probably a 6 or 7 on a 1-10 scale.

try it i bet it's not as bad as you think.

I use a beard trimmer and then shave my balls about every three weeks.

No problems.

I agree 100% with this. I've used clippers/scissors a few times, but I just today tried shaving my balls and the surrounding area. I was nervous, but it was surprisingly easier than I imagined. No cuts (which is a better success rate than I've had with clippers/scissors).

Based on what others have said, I may give waxing a go if the wife isn't a fan of the eventual stubble. But right now, this feeling can't be topped :D

the norelco body groomer is what I use. Quick and easy. with regular beard trimmers i usually get a couple of cuts on my scrotal skin. The body groomer has far less spacing for the very loose skin to get caught in. it also has the foil so you can get a complete shave if you have the patience to do it.
