Greece just dissolved their parliament after a vote of no-confidence in the presidential candidate.

Seems the Greek populace is a bit fed up with IMF-mandated austerity measures. After 6 years of "profits before people", unemployment has fallen from 28% to 25.5%.

When's the last time we heard the Vettebigot discuss the need for Greek-style austerity measures here in Murica?

I remember that as well......austerity = silver bullet fix all for EU as far as the C&P crew on the right were concerned and that the US should be the same way, except in the defense/banking areas, because those are totally bipartisan and not largely RW interest so spend as much as possible, absolutely NO LIMIT SPENDING/PRIVILEGES/PORK RINDS in those two areas specifically. They just happen to be the only ones the RW wants unlimited with semi kinda oversight funding for. Right next to but to a slightly lesser extent, corn farming and their super secular defense of Christian legal privilege, exemptions and authority here in the US.

I agree with your general position and your irony, but there is a mistake: Unemployment has not fallen. Six years ago it was around 9%. After half a decade of austerity, it reached 27%+. What you describe is just the fact that unemployent usually falls 2-3% in the summer months thanks to tourism.

I was using the seasonally adjusted unemployment numbers for Greece found HERE. My understanding is that summer tourism employment is factored in...but I'm not 100% sure.

Also, Herr Vetteman regards any government where the elected officials do NOT wear jackboots as "leftist".
