This little Olympus digi-cam is really neat - comes with software called Camedia - it's pretty easy. I got this idea.......
Find the proper subject matter, shoot it creativly, then use the software to rotate it, deepen the colors, etc..
Then use that as a template for what is essentially a "do it yourself, paint by the numbers thing." So, what you see here - I will eventually, "actually paint" on a canvas, using real paint. I plan on hanging this above our mantel, above the fire place.
It's a lot cheaper than buying real art from some ripoff artist. Probably cost me a couple hundred bucks to do it right.
Here where I work I even have access to a large, industrial printer - the type that makes big signs and posters. I can print this sucker "real sized for my wall" and get this - I can even "canvasize the print out" so from a very short distance - this thing will actually look like a painting. I could just let it go at that - but I thought, just to fool everybody into thinking I actually created this painting - well, I'd paint right over the printout with real paint. Even easier than paint by the numbers.
Pretty cool huh? Shit some folks might even pay me some hefty bucks - thinking it's original art. Man I love scams.
