make me wonder - if the picture had been with semi naked men they couldn't have touched him because you cannot discrimate against a persons sexual orientation.

One of the woman I work with ran into an ad of mine. And she was horrified! She rang me and kind of made noises about it being non-professonal.
Okay, so I'm well within my rights to say "it's none of your business". But since the ad was in a public forum, not one catering solely to fetishists, I toned it down somewhat.
I think that while it's fair to say that our private lives shouldn't influence our public lives... they do. I have to work with people, and my relationship with this woman had been goon until that moment. Now it's... not very good at all.
So a little discretion doesn't hurt. On the other hand, if I were involved heavily in the BDSM scene, giving demonstrations and making products and so on, then yes... it could be hard to reconcile the two.
So I think it's not as black and white as we would like. Like most things in life, there's a bit of a grey area attached.
