Does anyone have any ideas that could help me with this one. Or, that think it's a good idea and worth pursuing. It's a story about a girl who's a typical Goth. She's 19, wears black a lot, has a ring in her lip, lots of pancake white makeup and black lipstick. She's quite the miserablist and is stuck in a rut. One day, after sneaking out of a lecture one too many times the lecturer decides to teach her a lesson and make her more like his favourite pupil Brigitte, the blonde bimbo at the front of the class. It would be a bimbofication story, just so you know.

Is she going to fail the module, and thus the whole year, so she's suddenly desperate for the lecturer to fix her marks somehow? Desperate enough that she can be persuaded into wearing the clothes, shoes and make-up he buys for her, bit-by-bit, and she's confused by how much she likes it, and especially confused by how much she likes that Brigitte likes it?

He thought she was a disaffected Goth, but she was really a vampire...

Then she only attends night classes and skips summer sessions entirely. After class, she drains jocks, explaining the teams' losing streaks. Nobody really remembers her, only her dark aura.

The post-modern literature prof's partner, a clever, amoral pshrink, develops a bimbofication process based on subliminal re-programming. The prof induces changes with hand gestures, code words, curious symbols inked on returned papers, and cross-eyed stares. Gael the Goth is a squirrel in headlights. Transformation is inevitable. Resistance is futile. She quickly evolves into Barbie. Brigette goes ballistic with jealousy but what can she do? How can she out-bimbo Gael?

I'd write it the other way around - plastic bimbo blonde becomes edgy, dark goth girl with a penchant for graveyards. She carries a red velvet cushion to protect her bare ass from cold gravestones. Her black fingernails match her coal black eyes. She reads Nietzsche and Kierkegaard. An interesting girl, she drinks absinthe after dark.

From his word choice OP is British, but surely in merry old England there is an equivalent to Columbia University (NYC). A place where the school's persistent losses on the athletic field, abberant behavior of students, even thier "no photograph avalible" tag on Facebook goes blissfully unnoticed...

I like this, she celebrates life in the literal shadow of the markers of death. Affirming life carnally her bare buttocks and back inches from cold stone, separated only by that pillow. Her lovers making her move atop the resting places of those who move no more...

She manages to drain Teach's brain fluids and replaces them with a hormone cocktail that transforms Teach into the Bimbo.
I'm reminded of a classic F&SF vignette from about 60 years ago.

First day of college class. Students arrive, take desks, chatter. One guy comes in late. Prof admonishes, "You must be punctual if you want to pass."

Guy says, " I don't NEED these credits," and gestures. Lights flash. Books fly from shelves. Coeds are all naked and whimpering. Guy looks arrogant.

Prof gestures. Lights normalize. Books fly back into place. Clothes reappear. Prof stares at guy, who casts an appraising glance, nods, and takes a desk.

So, Goth vampire Gael and teach/wizard Thorne try powers on each other and reach an unspoken accommodation. But maybe each briefly breaks the other's shield and bimbofies them for a day or week before they revert. They might attract some notice, hey?

Maybe its psychology or similar and the teacher agrees to not fail her if she agrees on being part of an experiment. Realizing that her whole future is depending on this grade she agrees he starts to create his bimbo.

Can't help but think I'd be more likely to read that one too.

Maybe the bimbo transition process backfired somehow. The intention was normal girl to bimbo. Somehow though it went to normal girl to early aughts emo kid.
