Okay, so this is an awkward way to introduce myself to the boards (Hi there!), but... Lately I've been rather...enthusiastic, shall we say, about nipple stimulation, and I've started to lactate a bit, I think. Not much - a few drops here and there - but enough to get me wondering. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Anyone know anything about induced lactation? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Leah

P.S. - I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but it looks like this is where all questions go, so if this is the wrong place, feel free to move it...

Hi Comstock. I am new to the forums as well. But I might have some advise for you.
Now this has never happened to me personally but it was brought to my knowledge that extream or continuous nipple stimulation opens pors and glands in the breast that produce milk. This could be the cause of your possible milk production.
The same happens to some women that get breast enlargments. They have been known to start produceing milk after the surgery. I hope that any of my ramblings might help you. If not just be straight and ask your doc. Don't be shy. I never am.
Good luck and have fun at it.

Here is a post I made a while back, with details of inducing lactation. It's written with the intent to actually *induce* lactation - as in be capable of producing more than a few drops, and is similar to the advice given to women wishing to induce lactation to breastfeed an adopted infant, or improve a currently insufecient supply.

Prolonged nipple stimulation triggers the hormones that start the process, which probably explais why you're seeing a bit of milk.

You have got to be the most knowladgeable person I've ever seen. The ninja recall is impressive.
