Any fans of this series? I know goreans tend to be the D&D geeks of the bdsm world, I actually enjoy the novels, and own all 26 of the original books. Haven't had a chance to get ahold of the recent books yet. Anyone else? ( I know they are badly written but I like them in a b movie mockbuster way.)

I found a handful in a used bookstore and scandalised the college-aged clerk by buying them. I told her; "I'm only buying them for the sex scenes" :D

But the truth was, after enough repetitions of some hapless (but more beautiful than average) earth girl learning to speak of herself in third person ever after...

And the Lord compared her to a sleen...

I sold em in a yard sale to someone who wanted them for the sex scenes. ;)

You are certainly well rewarded with these, if that's your goal. :D

I read three or four in high school, courtesy of my BF. That was about all I could tolerate, but I do think it fed some growing...propensities.

Yeah he started repeating himself as well. I was shocked at the value of the later novels, from zi guess the eleventh one on can go for hundreds of dollars! I was lucky to get almost the entire set from a coworker for 50 bucks all but the last 2 then I found them about 6 years ago in a used bookstore for a dollar each, on ebay they were both between 75-100 bucks each!

I first read them in jr high, they had the bulk of them in the sci fi section of the local library, and those along with Robert E Howard's Conan series, the artwork of Frank Frazetta and Ken Kelly, and the cover of Kiss' Love Gun album gave me funny tinglings below the belt.

I'm not sure but that was what the bids were up to. I guess the print runs of the later novels were only a few thousand copies. I found a copy of Dancer of Gor in a local used bookstore with a 65.00 price tag on it! I got a copy on ebay for 23.00 in better shape!
