Great news everyone. Senate Republicans again killed Democrat’s efforts to undermine state election integrity protections like voter ID. 👏🇺🇸👏

“Senate Republicans blocked Democrats’ latest effort to rewrite America’s election and voting laws Wednesday, as progressive activists piled on the pressure to modify the chamber’s 60-vote legislative filibuster — or scrap it completely.“

*GOP wants to bitch about the lies of "fraud", but doesn't want to protect voters' rights.

Fixed it for ya.

You know that has nothing to do with election integrity, because it is a solution to a non-problem. I very much doubt the result of any election since 1970, for any office, federal, state or local, has been changed by fraudulent votes -- not even in those regions where ballot-box stuffing was once routine practice.

The bill that was thankfully killed would have overturned laws in 16 states. As the Wall Street Journal points out, our Constitution vests state lawmakers, not Congress, with the “Manner” of choosing presidential electors. The bill would have unleashed a flood of constitutional litigation heading into an election year.

It’s failure to pass represents another victory for Federalism and our Constitution. 👏🇺🇸👏

Thank GOD

there's still some sane people in DC. biden is a complete fool and the dems re trying to rule the world.

There's a reason it would overturn laws in those states....and it's not because the states are acting in the best interests of voters.

So much the better, considering their apparent content. We've long since established that Congress has the ultimate call when it comes to voting rights, and that has worked out well -- we certainly don't need any more "victories for federalism" in this field.

Yes, I do realize that those who wanted to nationalize the election laws in 50 states are not happy. 😂

It's the truth and you know it precious well.

It's BS. I won't say, "you know it too," because I've come to understand you only have a superficial knowledge of events and realities particular to the subjects in common discussion here. Myself and others have had to spend an inordinate amount of time and energy elevating your edification with tedious remedial recitations of elementary data widely understood and available in the public domain. Needless to say, you should probably avail yourself of these easily available resources.:D;)

Republicans know that if it weren't for voter suppression and gerrymandering they would never have control over the house or the senate.

Their failed ideas win win elections. That's why they perpetuate the big lie about massive voter fraud which still has not been proved.

Zipman crawls in to burp out another inebriated fairytale about Republicans.:D

I have. See The Voting Wars, by Richard L. Hasen. This voter-fraud thing has been a hoax from the start. The W Admin spent eight years hunting for proof and came up dry. Republican consultant Rick Wilson, I have read by his own account, had to turn down a contract from True the Vote because, after doing research, he could find nothing at all to support their position. Mike Lindell's tech expert could find nothing, the Cyber Ninjas could find nothing, nobody ever can.

Left wing propaganda and untrue.

There's no fairytale -- the GOP's viability depends on gerrymandering. That was the whole point of the RedMap project.

I'm sure Dems will gerrymander when they can and see an advantage, but they've never gone about it in such a national-systematic way.

Voting rights aren’t in jeopardy, you need to wean yourself off them damn mushrooms.
