Hadn't heard about this, but I'm not surprised.
I also find it interesting that Obama has gained the endorsement of Collin Powell, thus giving Obama much needed military 'cred.'
What I have seen of McCain during speeches and whatnot, and from various news agencies, I'm struck by the image of a man too eager to shoot himself in the foot just to have the chance to spite his opponent's face.
And, yes, more rum.
I'm having beer.

Nor, come to think of it, many of the others. Obama is so hated by some people, mostly on the Radical Right, that backing him is practically apostasy. The defectors will never get their street cred back.

McCain has always been an asshole at odds with everyone.
The Usual Suspects like to link him to Bush, but they hate each other, and McCain went against Bush as often as not.
