Google Earth

I must say, I can't see my home that clearly, my whole town is kind of one big blur. Then again, I live in a tiny town in Germany, so it's not really a surprise.

In the OLD version of this my house was clearly visible too. I live not far from alot of government offices and contractors and its one of those areas that people demoing satalites ALWAYS use to show off the 'hey there's your house' thing.

I think the satalite this is off of actually has HQs not far from here :)

And my husband forgot to cover the grill. But yeah I can see the grill on the deck, tell my chair isn't on it. tell what is in the driveway unfortuantly the ugly tree wasnstill up so I can't see too well since that thing s is blocking alot.

Sounds neat, Wildcard.
What search criteria did you put in?
I tried USS Arizona and it took me to Kansas or some such.
Also went to Peark Harbor, HI and found a bunch of Navy ships, but wasn't able to locate the clear visual you spoke of.

You're looking in the right place, I think you just missed it.

When you're looking at the page, look in the lower left hand corner of the picture being shown. There will be a line that says pointer then it gives longitude and lattitude numbers. The Arizona is 21 21 53.56 N, and 157 56 59.58 W

Move your cursor until you get that number to come up at the bottom, and you'll see the Arizona right under your cursor. The Missouri is sitting just behind the Arizona.

Another way to do it is to simply look at Pearl Harbor from a view that you can see the whole harbor. There is a large island in the middle of the harbor, it's called Ford Island. Look on the east side of the island, and you can see the large ship. That's the Missouri. Look in front of the Missouri, and you can see the Arizona sitting underwater.

Ok I'm dumb. I can find my address, but how are y'all seeing actually objects? I just see green.

You must be in an area that doesn't have high resolution pictures. Pick a major city and zoom in. You will see how good the detail can be.

My house isn't in a high resolution area either. I can't get anything but green blur when I try to see it. Such is the price for living in a rural area. ;)

Oh good! I'd rather be in a rural area with no coverage than be dumb.

  for you, WC. Haven't seen you around much.

<----------------Coordinates. Come find me. ;)
Slight disparity in those coordinates it seems.
There's a seam in the picture. (A really bad one where the street on the right runs right into a rooftop.
WTF?

Maybe you should run out in the driveway nakey and I'll be able to tell eggszachary where you are.
:p

Yeah, Idaho isn't exactly the hot spot for satellite activity. Have a look at the Pentagon, however, and you can see the cigarette butts in the parking lot. :D

I think I must have a technology goblin on my back........I can't view the video links people post, and now after downloading google earth, it won't work at all, I just get an error message.

Dammit !!

The image for my area has been updated since my last peek! I can see my house now.

Grrrrrrrrrr ... but when I try to e-mail the place marker, it freezes my computer.
