Friday night will be the final night of his career. They play the Yankees. As much as I dispise the Orioles, he is AMAZING!!!!!!! In fact, the Yanks got it clinched, so I hope he does well on Fri.
Yes, truly Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn will be missed. I had the pleasure of attending a Brewers game when the Padres were in town. Unfortunatly, Gwynn didn't collect a hit that game, but hey, I think his numbers speak for themselves.
Too bad I'll never have seen Cal play. It would have been an honor.
So I take it that since the season was extended a week as a result of the national tragedy, that he will NOT be playing that week?
