I'd invite you to my place to watch the last episodes, but I don't have a TV. Come on over anyway, I'll rent a big screen for the day and fix some beef and noodles, fried mashed potatoes and buttermilk biscuits for the occaission.

;) :D

We are all evil, nasty people, only out to stab each other in the back, apparently - according to one person in a certain thread, anyway.

well, not knowing most of the people here, I read the thread title and thought, "oh gawd, not another dramatic, soap-opera-queen Lit exit from another emotionally fragile soul who would no doubt return ten days later" ... so thank goodness we're only talking about a comedy show that used to be funny but has now run its course. The occasional great one-liner still makes it worth watching, but am I the only Friends fan who thinks it probably went on for one series too many?

By the way - nice to meet you sweetnpetite, and in the unlikely circumstances that you are a fragile emotional soul who has dramatically left Lit on many previous occasions, my apologies ;)

Nah, it wasn't you, hon.

Maybe I should clarify a little. The said person didn't say we are ALL like that, just 99% of us. Sheesh.

Sweet, I thought the same as everyone else when I saw the thread title. You wicked tease! Don't do that to me. :p

And, yes, quite! That thread title would be sooo much better. We are all evil, nasty people, only out to stab each other in the back, apparently - according to one person in a certain thread, anyway.

Lou  :rose:

Your the most evil of them all, Lou! I shant be missing you in the least.

By the way, is that a picture of you? Either way, very pretty (he says, trying to sound niether desperate nor cringeworthy, and no doubt failing!).

LOL!

"Throwing toys out of my pram, " means: having a temper tantrum, like a very small child, who doesn't know how to express herself any other way. ;)

"Declaring a walk out," speaks for itself. :p

Now if I was smooth, I'd have a follow-up line already prepared!

Maybe I'll just hang around here for a while, and get a feel for the place. After all, I wouldn't want to make a complete tit of myself!

No need to worry, we all have been through this ... :D.

Hi SnP,
I knew what you meant by "Goodbye Friends" because I am a Friends fan too and will miss the show - maybe it wasn't as good this year as in the past, but I have watched the reruns many times and am sad that this Thursday is the end. All the commercials for it this week are making me sad.
:(

Normally I would question a spinoff, but since Joey is one of my favorite characters I will be tuning in to that...
:)

Personally, I think a better spinoff would have been to go with Chandler and Monica. Because this would be show that would go in a different direction. (City people, adjust to life in the suburbs, and to family life, deal w/ a whole new set of problems and issues.) Plus they have the 'Joey room' so we'd still get to see Joey sometimes, naturally.

I don't have high hopes for this Joey spin-off. Matt Le Blanc hasn't done well without his "Friends" so far. I'd like it if it went well, but I have to admit that I'm expecting to be disapointed. LOTS of spinoffs don't succeed. Not all of them are 'Fraisure.' I'm worried that "Joey" is going to be "Friends" recast. And I just don't think that will work.

I want to hang with the evil folks too.......we are all evil in a way aren't we, this sad, dysfuctional little family I love so much!

Just go for it! Nobody would notice if you did. It's what I seem to do most of the time. :p

P.S. I'm getting a wierd feeling of familiarity here. I could be wrong, but the inital "J" springs to mind. Sincerest apologies if I am wrong.

Oh no!! You mean someone else talks like me? I've tried so hard to be original - literate but neurotic, with a hint of vulnerability? Now I think of it, I've gone for completely the wrong attributes to stand out in the Lit crowd!

I'm not J. Sorry. But hey, that means I'm someone new, which could be far more exciting.

I may be self-deprecating, but I'm not very good at it. ;)
