Goodbye, Christopher.

This article from the New Yorker is worth one's reading time. It's from November 2003 and carries the blurb: "Can an actor’s determination to walk again change the way medical research is conducted?" I think perhaps the question has been answered.

Superman had nothing on Christopher.

Godspeed.

Some of you may remember that one of my friends had his spinal cord severed in a motorcycle accident in May.
I do remember. I hope your friend has begun to process what happened to him, and knows he isn't without hope.
A lot of people think Reeve benefited from special medical care. While it's true that he was able to have live-in nursing care at home - thanks to friends like Robin Williams who financed his care when his insurance maxed out - Reeve said there were no special treatments that made it possible for him to breathe on his own, regain some movement, and go back to work. None of which was supposed to be possible. If he had lived, who knows how far he might have come?

I think the best thing I could say about Christopher Reeve is that he really was a Super man, from his acting to his work in stem cell research he truly deserves to be remembered as one of the best.

May he rest in peace.

Through all his public actions following the accident a new audience saw his indomitable courage prove him to be a real life hero.

Although time has proven that Reeve was, after all, merely mortal, we have come to learn that Christopher Reeve really was a super man.

That is truly a beutiful tribute line.
