On Tuesday, US Attorney General Eric Holder told America to expect a decision "soon" on how he'll respond to the recent legalization of pot by Colorado and Washington state. To which the rest of the country has basically said, "Whatever, dude." The same day, legislative committees in New Mexico and Hawaii approved bills to decriminalize marijuana possession and Oregon lawmakers introduced a legalization bill. Yesterday, Rhode Island legislators held a hearing on a bill to—surprise!—legalize and tax marijuana.

When Hawaiian weed hits the market their public debt will be eliminated!

Light up another one, dude...

Legalizing State-sanctioned (ie, taxed) gambling was supposed to take care of education costs...

...yet, the clamor for more and more education spending ever increases.

Raising cigarette taxes (how many 100%s?) was supposed to take care of supplying health insurance to all children and the needy...

...yet, those cost increases are so inflated that the pool must be expanded to include all non-smokers, too. Even then, its not going to be enough - you know why?

'Cause no matter how much tax is charged...

...government always spends more.

Meanwhile, the education rankings of American kids continues to sink...

...as does the average health status of American kids and the needy.

The main result of Hawaii (and any other State) okaying pot use so that it can be taxed...

...will be that more and more kids will be smoking pot at younger ages than ever before, and mental health professionals will start wailing for more and more money to address that dire irresponsibility.

Evidently, it's not enough for the adult citizens of the United Socialist State of America to drown themselves and hurt and kill others while chugging from a literal ocean of alcohol...

...now, they want to take their alcohol irresponsibility which they've already habitually passed on to their kids and magnify that sad, sad problem by adding the stupor of pot smoking to the equation.

Good job, stoner adults: you deserve the high taxes you'll become addicted to...

...sadly, though, your kids are going to become just as stupid as you.

YEA! RAH! POSTERITY!

Man I was just trying to get one happy thread out and you have to pour your piss on it. Can't you be happy that someone is is having fun?

You'd probably rather bitch. Sucks to be you, don't it?

I'm back...

...remember me bursting your balloon with this:

Well...

...guess what:

Drug Testing Company Sees Spike In Children Using Marijuana

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A drug testing company says it’s seeing a big spike in children using marijuana following the passage of Amendment 64.

The drug testing company, Conspire, says it’s now being called on a weekly basis to test students in one Colorado school district instead of monthly. It’s not just more students, but it appears they’re using pot more often.

Prior to the passage of Amendment 64, drug testing companies typical would use a kit to for test for marijuana that reveals a false or positive result right on the spot. But now another kind of kit is more common. It’s a laboratory analysis because they need to know how high someone is.

“I’ve seen a lot more people just walking down the street smoking (joints),” high school student Irie Johnson said.

“In high school it has kind of gotten out of hand,” student Alaina Tanenbaum said.

While this does not make me happy it points out that HS kids will push the limits with anything. At least they aren't sniffing meth.

Cigarettes, sex, beer, driving permits, and now they want to give them Mary Jane, what ever happen to good parent control ?
