I have some good news to share finally! I recieved my acceptance letter and package today from the University of Windsor. I am going to be enrolled to get my Bachlor's degree (BA) in Honours English and Creative Writing! It has been a roller coaster since, I applied late June as I thought I would take the year off, but now I am going back to school, working towards something I hope will help my career. Now the fun starts with finding a place to live, moving and all the other University stuff. I can't wait!!

Excellent news...it's nice to hear that someone is getting something they wanted for a change! Congrats! :)

Well done

Congratulations on your terrific news! I hope it's everything you want and need it to be for you.

Best news! It's even better because I stayed back and went to college for another year to get my diploma in General Arts and Science, and all of that is going towards my degree. So I didn't waste a year going to college and I am cutting time off of University!

It's everything I wanted. English and Creative writing. If writing doesn't work, I am going into law or Politics! We will see where things take me!

Be Careful, the residences at windsor can be really really shitty, so just be careful you go into a nice one. Windsor has a good business and law school. The really bad thing about windsor is that its right beside the bridge with all the traffic and pollution and its also in WEST windsor:( so thats going to suck(for those who dont know its pretty much like Windsor's own personal slum) But windsor does have the highest bars per captia of anywhere in Canada and maybe even the US. I got into Windsor last year, but I decided I wanted to live away from home so I went to York-Guelph was an option too, but Guelph is where all the farmers go to school if they want a degree lol. best of luck at Windsor just watch out for some of the crappiness that goes along with the good stuff

Congrats, Ravin! I wish you the best for the upcoming semester!! :rose:

Guelph messed me over by not applying a transcript to the right area, leaving my application out there and then when it was applied, the program was closed. So I am not happy with them. I wanted to go there because my friends are all around there but oh well.

I am not living in residence because well, me and 6 other people just wouldnt work. I need quiet and need to be able to read alone, so I am getting my own apartment. So the experience is going to be very insane that's for sure.

I had troubles with guelph too. I was originally planning on going there but because it took them till like august to get out their acceptance letters to anyone I knew-even the scholarship kids-I decided that I wanted to go to York instead. btw, the only reason I applied to York was because I wanted to watch bluejay games lol-but also because it really is a great school 3rd largest in Canada. I wouldve applied to U of T, but I wouldve had to take calculus for my grade 12 year and I really hate math lol. Incase you wanted to know why I know so much about Windsor-I live there lol. well, during the summer time anyway lol then im at York during the school year

Just gonna jump in on the going to university in Canada thing, 'cause I'm at the U of T -- and I just figured out my schedule for next year. Four day weekends every week. :D

yeah ive got 4day weekends again this year too, last year i had classes on tuesday wednesday and thursday, this year its monday tuesday wednesday. Im lucky again because just like last year my earliest class is 230 in the afternoon. I bet no one has a better schedule than that. how old are all of you?

Cool stuff, got a friend going to windsor for her first year this september actually.

Edit: sure why not, I'm going to Carleton university in ottawa

Congrats, Ravin! It's a really really great feeling to get accepted where you want to go! Very happy for you.

Ravin, great news! Congratulations.

I miss the college days. I'd be willing to study every night if someone wants to send me back... please?

I'm very happy for you Ravin, good work. :rose:
