I go weak in the knees for the phrase "good girl." Today, Mister Man said I earned myself a gold star, and I got so excited! So I figure 5 gold stars should get me something, right? I mean, that's how it works. He replied, yes, a play date with me at a party. :cattail: Hurrah!

In my mind, there is nothing as satisfying as a gold star. Well, except 5 gold stars, apparently.

It just all reminds me of happy times and being the favorite. Apples for the teacher, new school clothes. I love channeling my inner Hermione.

Does anyone else like the good girl/boy thing?

holy crap, do i ever. i crave to know i am a good girl and that my efforts are seen and appreicated. i long to have some one whisper in my ear over my shoulder how much of a good girl i am and send those wicked delicious chills down my spine. i need to know i am a good little girl.

I dig that.

Theres nothing sweetest than being told "you're a good girl" oh, the phrase "You're MY good girl" is even better!!

I need to know i am good girl.

Yes.

Being told I'm a good girl makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, right down in my belly. Its a great feeling

I groove on approval, Domme that I may be. I outgrew having a freak out if I don't get it, but if there's someone I look up to for whatever reason, their approval feels good.

I just _love_ it :)

He doesn't say it too often (not because I am being sammy btw!, well mainly), so when he does say it it makes me feel so special

Being called "Good Girl" makes my toes curl. I haven't been fortunate enough to be called it in a D/s relationship yet, but even in everyday situations, like Netzach said if it's someone I look to for approval being called it is a euphoric experience.

Just an example, I was cutting down on caffeine and when I informed my thesis supervisor (who of course I look up to) he told me I was a good girl. I was heaven for hours after.

Heh heh. Yeah, I admit I've been told that by someone I work with and I did smile, though part of me was also thinking, you dick. I have issues.

minx - Mine doesn't say it much either. He equates it with age and puppy play, which is NOT his thing. But he will say it as sort of a treat for me.

Oh yes, I absolutely love to hear it. The best effect is when he reserves it for a time when he's really proud of me, or I say something he approves of. Although, just hearing him say it randomly makes my heart beat a little faster, too. :D

"good girl" from anyone other than my Top or my mother, is not a happy thing - vanilla people or my doctors or whatever else, they get to say "good for you" or something on that order. If someone "good girl'd" me at the office I'd take an opportunity to return that phrase later, ignoring gender or age.

Yes! I also adore "little one". It's more for use in public, but I've had cases where those words have nearly dropped me to my knees, public be damned. :cattail: So now heres the thing, can you set it up like frequent flier miles? Maybe three stars gets you a nice dinner with your Master, one star can be turned in for a plate of cookies?

Just some musings.

Yeah, that would be a good one.

He occasionally pulls the older and wiser routine with me, when he's just the former. It's an ongoing challenge for me, though in recent months I've become better at communicating the idea that yes, we're friendly and we can kid each other, and yes, you've been here longer, but I've had training from the big leagues and I know my shit. Don't mess.

She loves hearing it and I love saying it! But she does need to earn it, because I love saying "bad girl" just as much :D

He doesn't really say 'good girl', but when he calls me "Dolly" or Dollbaby" I know I've pleased him, and it makes me feel special.

Good Girl, wow it is one of the things I strive for! He doesn't say it very often, but when He does I am floatinng on cloud nine for hours, I feel like I ahve accomplished so much.

Love hearing that Im a good girl or a good little pet...it causes an instant smile on my face...warms my heart and puts me in an awesome mood. I know that He's pleased when I get called a good girl... it's the ultimate praise.

Oh yes, "good girl" is the most wonderful he can say to me. He also has a certain way of saying "sweetheart" that makes me warm all over. :)

Said "right" by someone I actually care about the opinion of, it positively melts me!

:rose:

Approval....Wow, I have a lot to say about this.

I love for people to like me. I love to make people happy, and I love for them to want me around.

But, on the other hand, I'm used to having people dislike me and not want me around because I'm apparently one of those personality types that make most other personality types uncomfortable. So I've given up giving a shit about pleasing random people around me.

I'm kinda like Netz. Even Toppy me thrives on approval from subs I genuinely like. Bottomy me, doubly so. "Good girl" will generally just make me roll my eyes, but I do like expressions of pleasure. You have to have some real panache to pull off saying "good girl" to me without making yourself look like a moron, and most people just don't have it.

Yes...it makes me all melty

plus, it makes me proud to know that I've done a good job serving him

I love hearing good girl, that's my pet, etc.

Honestly, sometimes, all it is is a "thank you, babydoll".

Since we're in a LDR, one of the ways I do to help, one that makes me feel like I'm doing something together, is I help him with his college assigments. I type them, organize them, help with research etc. And he shares the professors praises with me as if I earned them myself, and always.. always thanks me for helping.

When he say, "thanks babydoll" or heaps on the praise when he sees the finished project... I'm a puddle...
